Limited Use of LCD Tablet

Recently bought a LCD Screen Samsung Fridge which has Samsung's Family Hub. I suggest buy a normal fridge without the screen and just buy yourself a tablet for your kitchen as Samsung limits the applications that can be put on the system and what you can do, therefore the tablet is not like a normal Samsung tablet. For example, I tried to down load a recipe which was in pfd format and the tablet cannot open pdf documents. On calling Samsung they've advised you cannot open a pdf document which reduces the use of tablets uses.Unfortunately, the choice of apps on the fridge is very limited (29) you can't download apps I suggest Samsung gets kick backs on who they allow on the hub making it less customer friendly. Also if you thinking about using it to link up to a ... MoreRecently bought a LCD Screen Samsung Fridge which has Samsung's Family Hub. Nice Features

We bought this model because of the screen. We previously had a Samsung 2 door unit and were happy with that. The screen has been good for a shared calendar to be readily visible, creating a shopping list that you can access on your phone in store and creating to do lists. The apps can't be added to but they cover a lot of areas of interest. We also use the internet radio app occasionally. Overall we think the screen is worth it.We mostly have the multi-purpose storage compartment as a freezer but have converted to a fridge when we had guests. This was good to remove drinks from the upper area and make room. The freezing temperature of this multi-purpose compartment is not as cold as the normal freezer storage and cannot be adjusted (by degrees, just by usage ... MoreWe bought this model because of the screen. The freezing temperature of this multi-purpose compartment is not as cold as the normal freezer storage and cannot be adjusted (by degrees, just by usage type). Therefore we are selective about what we place there but it is not a big issue. The shelving and storage in the main compartment is flexible but we haven't tamed it yet after six months and struggle at times to have an organized layout. The ice cube unit produces smaller cubes than our previous Samsung and they have more air incorporated in them so have a whiter appearance. One issue is that the ice melts faster because it is smaller. Also the ice cube storage volume is less. You have to keep that in mind if you are using a larger quantity of ice e.g. for a wine bucket. The internal camera feature is there but we haven't found a need to access it.Overall we enjoy the fridge and the screen. Our fingers are crossed that the screen is robust enough to last as long as the fridge.

Not worth the money, very disappointing Samsung
23 August 2022

I bought this fridge for a lot of money about 9months ago with extended 5 year warranty, the fridge itself is great but the ice maker is an absolute was of time, constantly freezing over no matter how regularly you use it and jams the bucket so you can't get it out. Can any one tell me if this model SRF671BFH2 has a defrost mode can't find it in the manual or online? we hade a Double door ** fridge prior to this one and lasted 14 years with an awesome ice maker should never have changed brands. Thinking of selling it and counting my loses.

RUBBISH FRIDGE
21 March 2023

This purchase was the worst decision of my life. We have had nothing but trouble with the fridge. Ice maker has been replaced twice and again not working correctly and the finish on the fridge doors are coming off. We have refused any further repairs and just want our money back. We have taken time off work each time for repairs and no one reimburses you for that. The fridge is the cost of a small car and it’s rubbish.Do yourself a favour and don’t buy one.Claim is in Samsungs hands and it will be interesting how long it takes to get results. REFUND.

Refund of this product
29 March 2023

Samsung has agreed to refund our money on this faulty fridge, but they want to pick up the fridge in 7-14 days and then refund our money in around 30 days.I am sure they wouldn’t let us take a fridge without paying for it first. So again we will be out of pocket to purchase another fridge while we wait for a refund for a product that has been faulty from day one.Never mind our lost time each time we have to be home for repairs on this faulty fridge.

Samsung Family Hub Fridge

My last Samsung fridge died (refrigerant leak) after 7 years, so I needed to get a new one fairly quickly. No local suppliers had the one I wanted (I live in country NSW), but Winning Appliances have a fortnightly delivery service to rural NSW. Very friendly and helpful drivers/installers.The fridge is roughly the same size as my last one, but better laid out, with four doors instead of two. I miss the beverage trapdoor for milk and soft-drink, but that's not a major issue. The new fridge has a display on the door that can carry messages and allows you to look inside without opening the door (even while shopping). The website claims that you can link it to a Nest doorbell camera, which I have. Sadly, only Americans can access this feature! Not happy. Finally, it uses Samsung's dreadful Bixby speech recognition system. Hopefully, one day Samsung will ditch it in favour of Google or Alexa. In the meantime, mute the microphone!

So far two thumbs up
30 July 2019

Was worried about this fridge due to bad reviews. However it's true that 99% of people who are happy leave no review and if unhappy you will by right go to town. I can say this fridge has done everything it promised. Water and ice work as expected. Got it in Jan, my young adult sons drink water with ice non stop, it held up extremely well. One issue, mirror door handle shows finger prints so you need to wipe it often. So far only issue I can think of.

poor design
30 December 2019

We've had this fridge for around 6 months now. It's a nice looking fridge, does everything it is supposed to do but for all of it's modern features there is one thing about this fridge which overshadows all of it's positive qualities: the design of it's door handles. The right side handle, which is the one used most often, is made of a chromey type material and not matter how gently you go about touching it it is ALWAYS STAINED WITH FINGERPRINTS. It is the WORST material you could use for a door handle, I don't know what the intelligent folk at Samsung were thinking. It is obvious they never tested the practicality of using this material. We are FOREVER cleaning it after we open the fridge, and unfortunately it is the first thing people notice who see it. All of our ... MoreWe've had this fridge for around 6 months now. We are FOREVER cleaning it after we open the fridge, and unfortunately it is the first thing people notice who see it. All of our visitors have said to us "Oh what a shame about the door handles" .I'm sure there must be some reason to this unfortunate decision- maybe there is a sensor on the door handle which operates the smart screen when you come close to it? It doesn't matter. This $5,000 fridge looks like it is worth NOTHING when it gets so dirty so easily. We would NEVER buy this again.
