Similar to the days of earlySLR cameras, the Samyang requires manual focusing and aperture adjustment. Thankfully, the silky smooth action of the dampened focus ring and 1/2EV increments (except when stepping from f/1.4 to f/2.0 and f/16 to f/22) of the aperture ring make finding correct focus and exposure a breeze.
