I had bought a pair of winter boots that fitted perfectly in the shop and seemed to be really comfortable. Only after wearing them while shopping the following day did I realise that they weren't that comfortable and my foot slid about a little more in them that I realised when trying them on.Could have been an £85 big mistake with those boots, but since popping this insole into them they are now perfect! Such comfortable insoles which provide great cushioning to the feet - perfect for shopping, walking a few miles etc. Do not slide about and look like they will last for a long time.As others have mentioned, they are quite thick and have been perfect for my boots. Not so sure I would have had the same result in a more dainty court shoe for example?Either way ... MoreI had bought a pair of winter boots that fitted perfectly in the shop and seemed to be really comfortable. I have a problem with my latest golf shoes which have the "studs", etc. built into the underside (sole) of the shoe. I can feel every ridge, stud, etc. through the soles of my feet! These insoles got me round 18 holes but, unfortunately, not well enough for me to want to repeat the experience. Everyday Scholl insoles were of no use at all.

I was given a pair of these insoles to try out. I admit I don't generally like insoles for a few reasons. These were a pleasant surprise. You can trim the toe edge to fit your shoes better so that is a nice feature for customization. They have a sort of sticky rubbery bottom so that helps them stay in place much better than some other insoles. They did slip the very minutest bit but not enough to bother you are become uncomfortable in any way. Most the the cushioning support is in the heal and ball portions, I would have liked to have that extended a touch more towards the toes but these are still good insoles. The feeling of wearing them is sort of similar to the squishy feeling of wearing very thick thermal socks on the bottom of your feet (but of course minus ... MoreI was given a pair of these insoles to try out. Had bought a pair of these at full price to try them out. I get a lot of ankle and upper foot pain particularly after playing golf. I tried them in my apres golf shoes and that seemed to make a difference. J then would swap them into my old gardening shoes and again that seems to have helped. So when the offer came up I bought two more pairs so that I no longer need to keep swapping them between shoes.
I think it probably needs a particular type of shoe to take these insoles - ones with enough room for the height of them. For when they do fit, though, they're amazing. I'd been using Odor (sic) Eaters in my house shoes for ages. They're supposed to last for 4 months but at the height of the summer were burning out within a week or two. This Scholl version are so comfortable and do absorb the odour. You can give them a wipe/sponging occasionally and that's all you need. The price feels high initially but they last so long you really get your money's worth. I've been using Odor Eaters for ages but I'm a definite convert to Scholl now.
These may be very comfortable if you're a size 12 (or close to it) but for a size 7 not. When cut to down to fit a size 7 boot the ridges are under the toes. I only used them for one 4+ mile walk and my big toes didn't thank me for it. Didn't feel "right" from the start and left my big toes sore for hours after. I've since switched back to using the originals.
Perfect! I have had a knee problem and been advised by my friend to try these ones to, yes, to help my knee. And it works! Bought two pairs and since I've been using them - I stopped suffer from my knee. I can walk distances without taking pain killers:) Yes, definitely recommend.
I had always believed the reason you would use an insole was because the shoe was slightly too big and it was to bridge the gap and make sure the shoe did not slip off, wearing an insole for comfort had never dawned on me.I had the ladies Gel Activ Insoles which state size 5-8, I am a 5.5 in trainers but a 6 in boots. The insoles come with a guide so you can cut them down to size but I didn't cut mine.I work in an office and sit down most of the day but would still have tired feet at the end of the day from my many trips to the printers, I was dubious if these insoles would make a difference. The insoles are soft and as the name suggests the insoles have gel activ technology to take the pressure off your feet. I tried these out in my work boots and instantly felt the difference, the insoles were springy and soft and fit well, at the end of the day I didn't feel like I had walked 10,000 miles.I have however found the insoles are not that easy to transfer to another pair of shoes; I tried to put them in my trainers for the gym but found they did not fit. This could be because I haven't cut them but if I do then I am worried they won't fit in my boots.
I bought these 3 weeks ago and am very disappointed with them.I have been using their much cheaper impact insoles, which are brilliant, but I decided to try the gel active. They feel great for the first few minutes, but gradually seem to lose their comfort. After a couple of hours you don't feel any springiness. It's like you've got nothing in your shoes. Couldn't possibly wear them all day.The other thing is they make your feet unbelievably hot!! I've normally got cold feet, but even I found them too hot.Complete waste of money - I'll stick with the impact ones.
my husband says these work pretty well but he didn't think they made the ground underfoot feel less hard. They are very floppy, so it's hard to get them into position, especially at the toe. I think the triangular plastic piece on the back is meant to be used to help place the insole, but there's no instructions about it.
