The Seiko 5 Sport series was first released in 1963, its creation aimed at providing stylish yet affordable automatic watches to the younger generation of the 60s. 50 years later, the Seiko 5 Sport has been reborn, each model showcasing the key traits of the original models as well as new, updated features. The five core features of the Seiko 5 Sport: The mechanism within the watch is 4R36 automatic movement which is built in house and the calibre is comprised of 24 Jewels and a 41 hour power reserve. I've ordered the orange faced SEIKO watch from 3 sites and every time they send me the one with the peach hands which I promptly return. How can I get one with the white hands? Can't stand the one with the gray and black bezel. Not attractive at all.

The orange dial version of the Seiko 5 dive style watch is great looking. Mine has been very accurate for a self-winding watch. When worn 24/7 for an entire week, it gains less than fifteen seconds total...an average of two seconds per day. Most of my other automatic watches gain five to fifteen seconds per day.But, it is NOT a real diving watch. The crown does not lock down and the timing bezel stopped rotating after a few weeks. And, I was unable to register the warranty because the serial number is stamped onto the rear glass cover in faint microscopic type.

Vibrant colour and an automatic movement at an excellent price point. The bracelet does squeak, but I think I can lubricate the pins with graphite (a pencil!), and accuracy is acceptable as a watch in a rotation - so it will be reset regularly anyway. I know its not a swiss chronometer. But it does gain significant time over a week. It was only 150 though!
Great watch. I own 60+ watches. This one has become my daily wearer. Sharp looking with a solid Seiko movement. Band is fairly comfortable to.
The only thing l found out, just two and a half hours after buying this watch. It is being sold on Amazon, the identical watch for £73.00. Less. You may have thought £20 or a little more. But Not £73. Not happy.
I love the reliability of this watch. It has a decent power reserve for when you're sleeping or not wearing it. The luminescent dial markers glow all throughout the night. The dial itself is so attractive. You can't find a better quality automatic watch for the price.

If you don't like orange there are other subtle colours and straps available. It feels very comfortable on my wrist and in the picture you can see it in it's orange glory. If it helps my wrist is about 18.5cm and I took out two links on each side of the clasp for it to fit nicely.It comes in a good box, with instructions to set date & time and the guarantee. Please note that Seiko don't use as many covers as other watch manufacturers as they send them to us in bulk using polythene bags and the presentation boxes are sent separately. I bought this watch to replace an old Seiko diving watch from the 90's. This watch is very similar with bright orange face and offset crown. This watch is the most accurate automatic watch I own. More accurate than my Swiss made $3000 chronograph. In two weeks it has lost less than one minute. The only problem is the crown, it does not screw down. Therefore, I can't wear it in the water. If I get this watch wet and accidentally rotate the crown I could get water inside. I won't even wear it in a swimming pool. So, nice watch but you should not get it wet. Use this one for dress up.
