Better than ratchet pruners they replaced. Wish they had instructions about the telescopic... But found the way to use them after losing my temper trying to get them longer. Very sharp.

These shears are have extending handles so excellent for a big tall hedge. They are well made but a little bit heavy
No problem cutting difficult hedge and other garden pruning plants. can always trust Spear and Jackson tools.
Spear and Jackson seem to make various models - this one has blue handles and trims and typically priced around 30 sometimes less They are sturdy and a bit heavy as a result. The centra lblade knob in all shears using this method with time can become tired Note that these shears have no notch to permit cutting thick branches - these reduce chances of over stressing what are shears - not secateurs! Cut thick growth with appropriate tools.... Used with are they last well - 10 years is a bit ambitious but once a year on a smallish hedge maybe these are not designed for a full on professional gardener. We have 30M of hedge and my last similar pair lasted 5 -6 years before bearings and cutting edges failed
