I own a lot of different types of suavectio pomade. This is my #1, followed by the premium blends. Reasons being, I love the shine and the scent of the oil based. It’s got a great hold and my hair feels great when I touch it. The blend is the same way, as long as you put it in your hair when it’s at least most of the way dry. I use either or daily.The watersoluable pomade has its place, and occasionally I’ll use a tiny scoop to finish off the style. But it’s gets hard. If you want a slick, soft hair style that holds and has a shine. This is the number 1!

I've used just about all of em, old spice being my go-to before I was introduced to Suavecito. Smells better than any of my previous daily use hair products, has the best long lasting hold and the shine is great. Won't ever purchase anything but Suavecito hair products again.

I like this pomade mainly because it does in fact stay in your hair for a couple days and I don’t have to spend time in front of the mirror every morning. I just dampen my hands, run it through my hair, brush it a bit and I’m good to go. After washing your hair though, make sure your hair is slightly damp when you put this on. I wouldn’t recommend doing it with dry hair unless that’s what you prefer. For me, I towel dry my hair fairly well, leave it slightly damp, and then work in the pomade starting in the back and working my way towards the front. Then I allow my hair to dry with the pomade worked in already. Seems to work for me anyway. I don’t usually buy suavecito products as they’re generally WB. Saw this OB and grabbed it. Very surprised with it! Fresh sent. Not over powering. Impressive hold. I find I can use less of this with the same hood as other heavy based I regularly use. When my hair dries with this in, its light, easy to comb and looks like I don’t have much product in. Make sure you carry a comb. Windy days will mess up your pomp, but it’s a quick and easy fix. I use this more than I expected.

Might vary depending on how much you use. I only use about 3-4 dime size finger scoops and it leaves it soft but hard enough to stay put. The first time I tried it I didn't realize how hard it was going to be to remove it. I read a review saying that oil based pomade is impossible to remove with just shampoo and water. I didn't believe it at first but while I was applying this product I immediately realized that the review was 100% correct. It is hard to wash it off your hands. Best pomade for my super curly/wavy hair. Has a consistency of a thicker petroleum belly. Applies best with minimal dampness in my hair & adds shine until you wash it out. If you have a long night out & couldn’t wash it out you can literally just brush & comb it into your original hairstyle the next day. This product has the best hold for my hair type while keeping my hair soft. The only thing is that when styling damp hair your hair may start to go down slightly due to weight. But as soon as it dries a little you can restyle it back up and it’s hold will last until you wash. A thing to bring up is when washing you will have to use a stronger shampoo. More gentle shampoos will not fully get it out.
Having gone through countless 4oz containers of water based regular hold Suavecito, I thought it'd be a good idea to change it up a bit and try their oil based pomade. Zero regrets, the oil based alternative doesn't hold at firmly as the water based formula, but I didn't expect it to. As the day winds down and I've inevitably ran my hands through my hair several times, the oil based pomade keeps my hair feeling natural, smooth, and healthy unlike the water based pomade that holds firm but leaves my hair feeling dry and stiff. Don't get me wrong, the water based pomade has a purpose and I'll always keep a supply on hand, as I've done so for several years now. I used to use oil based pomade a long time ago. On a whim I decided to order the oil based pomade with my usual big tub of water based firme pomade. I like this much better than the water based pomade. It keeps my hair under control(I have thick wavy hair) without it being super stiff. It's easy to re-comb your hair if it gets messed up.The supposed downside of oil based pomade is getting it out of your hair. No worries, I have an easy way to get it out. The secret is Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner. Apply the usual amount that you use for regular conditioner to dry hair. Wait about 15 minutes. Take a shower, rinse it off, shampoo and condition your hair like normal. Also adding some water based pomade to your hair will help. You are welcome.
This product doesn't get hard like a gel. I've tried pomades but, they too get hard. I miss the brill cream feel and this is the new answer. If your hair gets wet, run a comb through it and it fixes without extra application.
I just tried this out to style my old school crew cut. I find that it leaves my hair looking and feeling much more natural, smooth and shiny than the water based pomades.It's also really nice that it's reworkable throughout the day.Also, like everything suavecito makes...it smells amazing!Like everything in life, there are trade offs. As many have mentioned, this stuff does take a while to wash out even for me with a relatively short crew cut (about 1 to 1.5inches on top). I'd imagine the longer your hair, the more challenging it'd be to wash out.
