I have a 6.5 year old Cane Corso that in the last year has developed skin sores, excessive shedding, and odor. He had gotten so bad that I thought it was something internal so I took him to the vet. They told me there was nothing they could do because he wasn’t sick. I had to assume it was his food so I started searching and trying different brands that claimed coat clearing. I came across Taste of the Wild Prey, read the reviews and had to see if it would finally be the cure. I’m ecstatic to report my boy has been cured. He’s put on weight, his coat is shiny and odor free, his stool is healthy, and he’s stop shedding so much. It’s been two months since his life changed with Taste of the Wild Prey. I will NEVER feed my dogs anything but Taste of the Wild Prey again. Thank you for caring about what my dog ingests as much as I do.

My 10-month old Pyrenees mix is doing wonderful on this food. She was eating one of the Taste of the Wild puppy formulas before and doing pretty well on that. I got a sample of this food at a doggie event we went to. Even with just a small amount mixed in with her old food, her stools improved drastically. Like, completely perfect. We've had a lot of digestive issues with her so this is big deal! Once her old formula ran out, I bought a bag of this to try. The difference has been amazing! Her stools are ideal every single time and her occasional foot/skin biting has stopped. She will eat anything, but seems to genuinely enjoy the taste. Definitely give this a try if you suspect any food sensitivities. My pup has improved so much since we've been staying away from ... MoreMy 10-month old Pyrenees mix is doing wonderful on this food. My pup has improved so much since we've been staying away from grain and chicken ingredients. I just wish there was a middle-sized bag instead of only 8lbs or 25lbs!

Since switching to Prey Limited Ingredient Beef, I have noticed signficant difference in my Bulldogs with less skin issues and small well formed stools. Potatoes can cause yeast issues in bulldogs and it is very hard to find dog food formulas that do not contain potatoes or sweet potatoes. I have to keep my dogs diet very strict. This food is not filled with a bunch of ingredients my dogs do not need. In between meals my dogs get fruits and vegetables for snacks. I feed Prey not just to my own dogs, but to the bulldogs that I foster for Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue.

My dog, Dandy is allergic to many of the common ingredients that are found in most dog foods and treats. Dandy is a picky eater and it's been difficult to find a food that he consistently enjoys. Five years ago, we were fortunate to find the beef limited ingredients formula from Taste of the Wild. Now Dandy can have a food that he really loves to eat without the allergic reactions! I even use the kibbles as snacks and he happily devoursthem!
My dog Baylee has been eating TOTW kibble for 3 years now. Angus beef is his favorite. He is a very picky eater (first dog I’ve ever known to be that way) and he loves this food. Not to be gross but the high quality and lack of filler means he has minimal waste. It’s good to know he is digesting most of his food and not just passing filler. He will be on this kibble for life.
I have been feeding my two dogs (One is a four year old pit bull / Boston terrier mix, the other is a pit bull) for quite a few months now. At first, this food was GREAT. Sounds a little strange but I noticed a huge difference in their feces. It was much more firm and they seemed to love the food! The past few times I have bought this, I could tell a difference in the food itself. When I bought the first bag that was different, it was maybe about a week before my dogs started both getting sick. Their feces was no longer solid and became diarrhea. They started becoming more lethargic. I thought maybe this was just a bad batch (I read some reviews about this food before I bought it and heard that happens). I went and bought another bag (mind you these are $50 bags). They started becoming more lethargic. I thought maybe this was just a bad batch (I read some reviews about this food before I bought it and heard that happens). I went and bought another bag (mind you these are $50 bags). I had the first bag in a container that I usually keep the food in so it's easier to scoop out but hadn't thrown it away yet. After opening the second bag I noticed the food STILL looked off (the same as the previous bag) but thought maybe they just change the way they processed it. I kept the second bag just in case. I started feeding my dogs this second bag and after another week of things not getting better I finally contacted support. They offered me a refund (which they are supposed to be shipping out today which it's now been over a week since the complaint). I have now bought a THIRD and FOURTH bag (one small and one big) of this food from a different pet store hoping that they would have the original stuff I bought and got home and opened the bag and it's still the same bad food I've gotten the past two bags. I don't know what is going on but I am now out $170 on food that has made my dogs sick all because I was trying to give them a chance that this bad food was a fluke. I am very disappointed as I read on a lot of different sites that this food was amazing. I would love to go back to this food if they changed it back to the old stuff I was buying a few months ago, but as of right now I will not waste any more money on this bad food that they have been selling.
My German Boxer has an allergy, he itches and chews that bottom of his feet. We thought it was the sweet and regular potato in his TOTW High Prairie w/ roasted Bison and Venison, so we changed his to the TOTW Prey Angus Beef formula. The reason we changed it was due to the fact that one of pet store specialist and vet said it's probably all of the potato (carbs) in the High Prairie. Since he's been on the Angus Beef formula, 2 weeks now, he has been chewing on the bottom of his feet more than ever! Initially he was on a Large Breed Adult Chicken Receipe-Grain Free food but he was loosing weight due to his constant playing while at daycare, 3-4 days a week, 8 hours a day. The Large Breed Adult Chicken Receipe-Grain Free food was too low in protein at 22%, so that's ... MoreMy German Boxer has an allergy, he itches and chews that bottom of his feet. The Large Breed Adult Chicken Receipe-Grain Free food was too low in protein at 22%, so that's the reason why we changed him to TOTW. He wasn't itching his feet on the previous food, so we will probably switch him back and just feed him 3x's a day, instead of 2x's.This Prey version is also higher priced in addition to being 5 lbs LESS than other the other 30 lb bags we've purchased in the past, for $7 to $9 less.Overall the ingredients are ideal for a high energy dog, just not my little boy.
We have been feeding Taste of the Wild for a few years now and absolutely love it! My boy is such a food snob but scoffs this right down! I love that it is a limited ingredient dog food. My dog has such a sensitive stomach and has a seizure disorder and this helps tremendously! Plus, what dog doesn't love beef!!
I have a 3-year old GSD that has a sensitive digestive track and allergies that cause him to be itchy all the time. He loves it and since switching to this food, he's had the most solid stools of his life. He hasn't been on it that long, so I don't know yet if it will help him with the itching. I had a bag of it sent to my brother for his GSD/Chow mix because it didn't eat well. He reported back that his dog "snarfed" it, which is a first for him. It is more pricey than other foods, but since it's Angus beef that's understandable. So overall, very pleased with it.
My Miniature Schnauzer has allergies and the one that seems to affect him most is chicken. I have been using the Angus Beef Limited for almost two years now and he was doing really well. Now you have changed the recipe to include CHICKEN FAT! I loved that the recipe used Sunflower oil and Salmon before! I was so distressed with this change. I BOUGHT A BAG AND DIDN'T KNOW IT HAD CHANGED UNTIL I RECEIVED IT ALSO. What was the reason for the change?
