Our vet recommended this food for our 7 year old Lab Mix who has severe skin issues. We also have 2 mini-schnauzers who are skin sensitive as well and prone to hotspots. One of the schnauzers is very picky eater. Well, when I pulled out Sierra Mountain Taste of the Wild, you would've thought THIS was the food he was waiting to get for years! No issues, upset stomachs, Nothing. Just happy to eat their yummy food. I don't even have to mix it with anything. They are content eating their dry kibble.

I’m a new Taste of the wild buyer but I can say I will never go back. We were researching the food requirements for our female Bernese mountain dog and Taste of the wild came up time and time again. I can honestly say I am not surprised that it was so highly recommended. Sierra Mountain is perfect for my giant breed dog as it gives her he nutrients, high protein content and grain free food she requires. She absolutely adores the food and we’ve started to notice a difference in her coat, eyes and temperament since feeding her this. She has a lot more energy and seems a lot happier in herself. We have also noticed that her bowel movements are a lot more frequent, softer and more consistent- leading us to conclude that her gut is as happy as she is. I switched to Taste of the Wild after my Frenchie got bored with his former brand of kibble. It got to the point where he wasn’t finishing his food anymore and I was researching new brands. I went with Taste of the Wild bc I liked their philosophy, their ingredients list, and their numerous formulas allow for rotational feeding, ensuring my Frenchie won’t ever get bored with his food. I’m so glad we made the change! In 2 weeks my Frenchie bulked up and is able to maintain a healthy weight. His coat is so shiny and he has so much energy! He loves his new food and is always excited for meal time. My Frenchie has a poultry allergy so I love that I’m still able to get him delicious food with no poultry meal or byproducts. A 5lb bag lasts us just over 2 weeks so he loves getting to try different formulas and switching it up. My review is under the Sierra Mountain Canine recipe but honestly it goes for all their formulas with no poultry in them. Couldn’t be happier with our brand of dog food! We love Taste of the Wild!
When we rescued our boy Archie he was dealing with mange, weight control and other health issues. Our vet let us know he may be struggling with allergies to certain flavors/types of dog food. As soon as we tried Taste of the Wild he almost immediately showed improvement in all aspects of his health concerns. His weight gain no longer made him bloated but instead healthy and filled in. His coat is soft and strong. The amount he needs to eat is nearly half of what other brands required in order to keep a solid weight. Best of all, Taste of the Wild offers so many variations that we get to change it up and give him new flavors to try and at a high value in price. Don't wait to try this for your pups!
I recently adopted a dog and have been feeding her variations of the Taste of the Wild grain-free recipes. We cycle through the different flavors so she doesn’t get bored and she LOVES them. She likes the food so much that we use the kibble as a low-value treat when training! She’s a two-year old Aussie mix named Maddie and this food not only makes her coat shine but keeps her lean and fit. We especially LOVE the variety of protein types so she can have variety and I can have peace of mind that I know what I’m feeding her. The breakdown of ingredients and nutrients on the back of all the food is SUPER helpful.
I fed this to my dog for years and he seemed to thrive on it. He was in good health at 11 years old. However last Spring he started not eating with vomiting and diarrhea. He lost a lot of weight and wouldn't eat. He was diagnosed with IBS and given antibiotics and steroids. We thought we were going to lose him. He finally started to eat the low fat prescription diet and put the weight back on. Hopefully he remains good and will celebrate his 12th birthday in December.
Raven is a 5 1/2 years old. Raven had eaten Pedigree and High Protien Dog Chow until I found Taste of the wild. For 2 years now Raven has eaten Taste of the Wild Sierra Mountain Recipe. Her quality of life has improved so much just since she has started eating this food. She has so much energy now. Her coat has become shiny and so soft. I have to recommend this product (any flavor) to anyone willing to listen. This product is the only food that I will buy her. Take it from me, if you have a sluggish pup with any kind of grain allergy, or if you just want to get the best food on the market, please do your fur baby a favor and buy this food. I promise you, you will see a world of difference in them.
Taste of the Wild really stood out among the other choices of dog food so I just had to get it for our special girl. This is my dirty little secret. MY DOG HATES DOG FOODLike with a fiery hot passion. I had tried so so many various flavors, brands, formulations. And had basically just admitted defeat and decided to let her live out her dream of being a cat, eating cat food. But she isn't a cat and I felt horribly guilty and knew she wasn't getting the nutrition she needs and that just isn't OK. Because she's family and it's so important to keep her in the best shape possible. So when I saw this bag I decided what the heck, we'll waste money on just oneeeee more bag of dog food. When I say SHE LOVES THIS FOOD!!!! I love knowing she's actually getting what she needs as a dog (the world's most special and important dog as a matter of fact!)Looking at the ingredients and nutritional value of this food, and looking back on her dog food strike, I can't help but think she's also the world's SMARTEST dog, because she knows what's best for her. I'm glad I finally found it. The first ingredient is lamb, go figure! But rare to find meat as the number one ingredient, as I've learned. My girl will settle for nothing less and I'm more than happy to spoil her the way she and her health deserves.
My dog has been eating Taste of the Wild since she was 4 months old. Before she joined the family, I had been feeding my son’s dog Taste of the Wild. In the past, if I ran out or tried to switch to a cheaper brand, there was always health issues, digestive and otherwise. Now, I just make sure I don’t run out! They love every recipe Taste of the Wild makes. It keeps them healthy, happy and makes cleaning up after them a breeze. I won’t buy anything else for their dietary needs, Taste of the Wild is the best on the market.
