In short: buy anything else. This voice will end up driving you crazy.

DislikeUnit did not come with anyway to hook it up to your tv, computer or DVD player. No HDMI, Optical or Aux connectors. I went out and bought one and unit does not produce sound at all. I hooked up my old speakers again and immediately got sound. This is very cheap looking with a 3" subwoofer driver cased in plastic that could not possibly produce any noticeable bass. I am returning this in the morning.

I usually skip over TCL, at least for their TV's. They're just usually mid tier all-around. This could fit that too, but the price is right and the result is actually worth it, kinda impressive even. Check your local Walmart's in store pricing. The following is unlikely to be true at all locations, but some at least in store have this model marked down to only $49. That's what really pushed me to get one. Glad I did. Love this!

The price was very affordable, and the sound was something I would not have expected at that price. The Subwoofer delivered fantastic low-end frequencies and the soundbar hit the high and mid frequencies in perfect harmony. It came time for me to replace my sound system and I immediately went to TCL to find a comparable alternative since the TS5010 was no longer in production. I contacted customer support to see what model they recommended as a comparable replacement for the 5010. They pointed me to the TCL Alto 6+ Model 611 and I was so excited to receive it and test it out. NO ONE sees the back of a sound bar! The subwoofer became more box shaped instead of rectangular and for some reason they mounted the speaker facing the floor. I could ignore all these design changes if they just left the sound alone. NOPE! Those rich, deep, powerful, booming low end sounds were gone, only to be replaced by overpowering high and mid frequencies, especially at max volume. There was almost no distinguishable difference between the three preprogrammed settings on the remote. I wish I knew what changed. I have tried to go back and look at the product specifications to determine why this systems sound was greatly inferior to it's predecessor. Unfortunately, information on the product specification pages is not easily comparable. In summary, my time with the 611 has come to an abrupt and disappointing end. I will be returning it to the store from where I purchased it. I guess I'll try the 7+ or 8+ to see if TCL returned to the roots of the simple, boring, soundbars that used to produce amazing sound over the hip new designs that disappoint the ears. Afterall, shouldn't a soundbar focus on sound?
I already had one hooked up to my tv in my bedroom and haven’t had any problems with it thus far! It does the job!The only issue that I’m having with this set that I have hooked up to my other TCL tv in my living room is that the sound is slightly lagging behind on the soundbar.This is driving me crazy because I’ve gone through every setting and can’t find how to fix it. It’s weird to see when people are talking but the sound comes out slightly behind. Other than that, the sound is pretty good! Hopefully, I can eventually figure out how/why the sound bar is lagging!
I bought this because the Vizio soundbar I got kept going silent when there was no active speaking or primary noise. If there was only light background noise the soundbar would shut off. So I thought a TCL soundbar would work best with my TCL TV and don’t get me wrong the soundbar is pretty decent but the bass is horrendous. I have bass boost turned ALL the way up in every way and you can barely hear it. My smal wireless Bluetooth speaker has way more bass than this. I’m very disappointed in this
Returned within a week. The sub has muddy lows doesnt cut the mids. The soundbar is tinny sounding. There is no clean warmth to the sound except when volume is low. The sub connected easy and setup was easy. remote was pretty cheesy but worked fine. If you just want cheap sound this might be an alright option. But if you have $50 more to spend skip this option. Also there is a distracting bright led thats always on when the unit is on, indicates source by color and turns red when off, pretty annoying.
I purchased this to go with my TCL Roku 55" TV. I tried connecting my existing Samsung R3 speakers to my TCL TV, but since it doesn't have bluetooth, they didn't work. I purchased these at Best Buy on sale. It was easy to set up since they both are TCL, but the one thing I wished this system had was a subwoofer volume setting? The bass on the subwoofer is very good and shakes the pictures on the walls very well (that's my way of knowing its really putting out good bass), however, it's not so good on overall sound coming from the subwoofer and I wish that I could turn the overall sound up separate from the bass? If there's a setting somewhere, please let me know and I'll adjust this review to 5 stars!

If for any reason you need to restart and yours just had the quick start like ours, hold down the power button!
