It worked great for two weeks, but then the battery stopped taking a charge so could no longer use after that. (Hopeful they can provide a replacement battery under warranty.)When it did work, it did a great job soothing my aching injured knee. Having the vibration only option is nice.Only real complaints are that you can’t control it through the Therabody app, and that the battery charge is only good for two contrast cycles before needing to be charged again. I felt like with daily use, I was constantly charging it.

I found the coverage of the heating/cooling to be lacking, particularly considering how bulky it is. It only cools on specific plates on the device, which didn’t touch my kneecap or some of the areas around it that I really needed. Ended up getting they hyperice one instead which I’ve been much happier with!

The hot and cold technology was fantastic, the design not so much. Because of the weight of the device it flopped all over the place making it extremely difficult to put on. Additionally, if you have a larger leg the straps are way too short and there are no extension straps so the device becomes ineffective because it can’t be fastened properly.

Brought this to aid in knee replacement recovery. Was hoping the cool and warm settings would replace or reasonably replicate ice and a hot water bladder. In short, it doesn't. It gets "cool" and "warm" but nothing even approaching the real deal. To be fair, this isn't really advertised as a replacement. I used it a few times but reverted to just using an ice bag and a hot water bladder that you can get at any drugstore. The vibration is nice but doesn't seem to accomplish anything physiologically. If you have some minor to mild aches and pains in the knee and don't mind burning $300, this works just fine. It is really convenient but for my purposes, sticking to real ice and hot water, the Normatec Compression boots, Theragun, and PowerDot and more than met my needs.
While I really wanted to like this device, it just doesn’t work for my knees. It’s way too big, and the plates where the heat/cool are placed is about 3” too far away from where my knee needs it. I like the feel of the contrast Therapy and vibrations but it is not made for an “average” knee (I’m 5’5” w/ athletic build). Even the straps were too big. This is designed for a much larger person.Also I’m trying to return it and their online portal isn’t working and they have not yet emailed me back (48hrs waiting so far).
It’s nice, heats well, wish it cooled stronger but the biggest issue is the battery. If it’s supposed to die after 20 mins an additional battery should be included with the purchase. I wrote to customer service got a reply a week later but still no real assistance. Considering the cost you’d expect more help.
The product works. Temperature range is impressive. I used digital thermometer on it. Goes from 34° to 117°. Fits comfortably. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is the battery. I can’t get 3 full sessions out of it without having to recharge. If only they would sell you an extra battery it would be perfect. I’ve asked them multiple times and they refuse to offer an extra battery. Not sure why. Having to wait 1 1/2 hours to use again post surgery is no better than rotating ice with traditional pack.
Machine works ok. Battery only lasts 15 mins. Instructions were barely adequate. Did not show how to attach middle strap. I asked online 5 times for a call to explain the 2-prong wall plug. Email replies asked me for picture or video-- it's a 2-prong plug! Should be easy to tell me how to adapt to USB plug that charges the battery. I also have the Theragun- love it. But, not convinced that this machine is worth the expense. Not sure if I will buy from Therabody again. Online service only, no direct phone number, are major negatives.
Battery began not charging and running out very quickly one day after the 30 days return ended. Once charged, other buttons are not working. After multiple presses, it will work sometimes, but runs out pretty quickly. Think its all related to the battery. Battery gets very hot, thinking might cause a fire. Worked fine until it didn't. Brand new unit. New battery might be the fix and then I would give it 4 stars. The Cold setting doesn't really get cold, gets cool. The warm setting feels pretty good. It feels like after a few months of using it, I might see some benefits, but stuck right now with a defective battery.
I’ve never been big on paying too much attention to recovery… but as I’ve gotten older, my body has recently begun demanding it. The knee recovery from Therabody is an -excellent- device if you have knee problems/pain. The impact/effect of daily use with this can’t be overstated. Great product and am super glad I moved forward with the purchase.
