Easily worthy of a world class studio but for now my home studio will be its humble abode.Have you even read the specs on this gizmo..its future proof in every way and really makes a huge difference to your sound and music. I have been running multiple plugins and processing my tracks with all sorts of fx but absolutely no lag or stutter.the mic preamps are very clean and have zilch noise while giving gain. this compliments my current setup big time. Highly recommend it to those who are serious about the kind of gear they use.

This is the ultimate upgrade for any studio setup. THUNDERBOLT. Gone are the days of usb and firewire. Waited for usb 3 for the longest time and finally went for this option. Coming from UAD this product is pure quality and delivers majestic sound quality. There's almost no latency even when running heavy sessions. Works perfectly fine with all the softwares I tried it with..pro tools, ableton, cubase and logic..no issues or bugs. but be aware that they don't provide the thunderbolt cable which is a bit odd..but compensated by the "Real time Analog Classics" UAD plug-in bundle. Go for it if you are serious about your sound and want to make your tracks shine like pro's.

Universal Audio has really been putting out some great stuff recently. This piece is such a cool piece of gear for a project studio. Not only do you get a quality interface, but you also get access to UA's AWESOME plug-ins. It's kinda a bummer that this only has 2 mic inputs, but it's pretty incredible that it's expandable via ADAT. In general I really like this piece for smaller studios and mobile rigs. Poor USB Driver support for a $8-900 price point. About 4-6ms more latency than a RME Fireface on same Audio Resolution and USB Buffer settings across the board. Also does not automatically update Windows 10 Sound Audio Resolution when you change in the Console. You need to manually change this in 2 places anytime you open a DAW or APP. I also have to run at higher USB buffers to avoid pops/clicks compared to RME. You really need to be committed to the UAD DSP plugins long term for this to add value .
Upgrading to the UA Apollo Twin has been nothing but a joy and I wish I'd have done the upgrade much sooner. The unit has a sturdy build and I love that it's made of aluminium. Latency issues are non-existent due to Thunderbolt and both the convertors and Unison mic-pres sound great. I'm glad I opted for the Duo over the Solo so I can run more instances of the UAD-2 plugins, which a nice amount of those are already included. This interface is well worth its price and I definitely recommend to check it out if they have the chance, it lives up to the hype.

UAD, Awesome.Such a great company for customer service too.Lots of great deals to be had.for us honest folk who don't use hack's or cracks re softare.

I was expecting a great unit from UAD, and this didn't disappoint. I had only read details online when I ordered, and I was very impressed with the build quality. It doesn't feel in the least bit like many inexpensive audio interfaces. The knob is very hefty and smooth, great feel. The unit itself has some weight to it, no cheap plastic parts. And it excels at what it's designed to do. The mic preamps sound fantastic. The included plugins are a great starter kit - perhaps even enough for some users. I'm very happy with this unit.
This little interface saved my first mix and mastering job. The plugins sound fantastic and this interface opens the door to UA's lineup of classic emulations. Be patient with the install as it takes time for all the drivers to come in at the end of the software install. The unit is very simple to use and the quality of the digital conversion is excellent. Can be pricey, especially for hobbyists, but if you're serious about music recording it is worth the investment. It's scalable so as you expand your studio you can add on UAD-2 devices for more power. Thanks UA!
I've stuck with a Windows recording setup for years, and have been waiting for Universal Audio to get on board with PC users in a more serious way. That finally happened, and I bought an Apollo Twin USB right away. I'm using it for project studio recordings and overdubs at home, and it sounds absolutely great...clear, full, uncolored (unless you want that), and fully pro. I can also take it in a gig bag from home to studio with no difference in my work flow, sound, or available plugins, which is a big bonus. I've owned several interfaces and worked in many studios over the years, and this is the best. UA also makes the best plugins around...they're not cheap, but man are they good. Highly recommended.
