So I needed a battery and as a member of the other lot who didn’t have any that were suitable for my E Class. Went on the site and was presented with a bunch of options that were all compatible or so it seemed. Paid online, booking made for the fitting. RAC guy arrives and advises that the battery I purchased was not suitable for my car. Fortunately, he had one in his van that was which was really fortunate as they are very scarce apparently. Fitting done and I have to say the RAC guy was excellent. The fitted battery was smaller and cheaper but despite phone calls, all I have received is a £30 refund. Having the battery fitted at home is a great customer service. However, the site is a bit misleading. It gives the price as £198.34 then tells you, if you are a member, there is 35% discount. However this was not deducted at the checkout. After querying it, I was told it is already deducted? So why give the price at the very start THEN say that IS the discounted price! Also the mechanic didn’t reset the dash screen (clock, run flat indicator etc) which is required after the battery has been off for any length of time. Overall though, I would still recommend RAC. Been a member for years.

This purchase just simply worth. I received a high quality battery for a really good price. The company delivered next day as it was promised. Perfect smooth business. This company is highly recommended.
My Mercedes battery died leaving the car immobile / unusable. I ordered a replacement battery on line to be fitted by an RAC Patrol. The patrol man arrived with the battery I had ordered - which turned out to be the WRONG one for my particular model. The Patrolman had the foresight to also bring the other type / size battery often fitted to the model of car.In less than an hour it was up and running.An excellent service which was also polite and efficient.
Although the main dealer said the battery was fine, continuous problems with warnings about low battery and problems starting (for last 2 years), with problems getting worse over time, I placed my order for RAC to visit my home and change my battery. The RAC engineer tested and said it looks like the battery is OK, however he can see a slight drain. I was happy to continue with the replacement. Since replacement no warnings of low battery, the Start-Stop system now kicks in so much more, I hadn't noticed that until the replacement.
The battery was not fitted because all my battery wanted was a good overnight charge up.The patrol man was excellent, he checked my battery and wiring etc and said all was ok, just needed a good charge.Thankyou.PS, still waiting for my refund.
My previous Varta car battery was over 12 years old and still functioning. It doesn’t need any explanation as to why I bought another Varta with the same specification to replace it.
Great battery at the cheapest price on a Google search. Arrived the next day as they said it would, packaged properly, and went straight in our truck. Excellent service, great price, would not use anyone else going forward for a battery.
battery was installed on time and I was told everything was ok.However later when testing identified dashboard warning message re low battery was still coming up.Second engineer arrived to retest.Although he could not find a fault it subsequently disappeared. Now all ok.
