Speed and traction Aggressive file tread, or super low-profile knob design? The Terreno Dry bridges the gap between file treads, and traditional all-conditions treads. The key to this is the unique angled "fish scale" design, that allows the center tread to roll extremely fast, yet offer traction when loaded in cornering and braking. Add the transitional height mid and side tread, and the Terreno Dry transitions as smoothly as it rolls. From gravel grinding to medium conditions cross racing, the Terreno Dry offers consistent performance.

Bought a pair because I run gravel tyres on my aluminium endurance road bike in summer to do light gravel. Well these tyres actually measure to 39mm when inflated (measure with caliper). It is printed on the tyre sidewall that it is 700x35c and the ETRTO size as 37-622. The ETRTO size of 37-622 is a standard that means it measures 37mm wide, so no idea why they are advertised as 700x35, especially when they inflate wider than even the ETRTO size. I don't have wide rims either, I have 18mm internal width. So these rub on my frame and can't be used, shame as they were very good value.

These tires came with my Cannondale Quick CX 3 bike. The tires, especially the rear tire, didn't hold up well. I only got a little over 425 miles on the rear tire before the center tread was worn flat due to the torque and braking effects on the rear tire. I switched the tires out for WTB Nano tires. Most of my riding is on paved roads and multi-use paved trails. The one positive to these Vittoria tires is that they do roll quickly, but why would you want to spend more than $30 for a tire you're having to replace after only 400 miles of riding?

Have these in 29x2.1 on a custom built Otso Waheela C. Aired up and installed nicely, though can't recall whether I needed the LBS to blow them onto the ED silver Emporium wheels. I don't recall them being difficult, like most wider rubber, so they've been installed for awhile now - 2 years I think.First had 27.5 Soma Cazaderos on this bike and they were wicked fast and agile, even at 50mm. But the Terreno's have been a very stable, reliable tire, up until the past month. They have ridden great on pavement, thick gravel, pea gravel, hard pack and even a little mud. They're not fast, but they are pretty sticky. I really loved them after they settled in. And they didn't let go once not once in rain or wet pavement. But couldn't be more irritated that the rear just ... MoreHave these in 29x2.1 on a custom built Otso Waheela C. So am looking to replace for IRC Boken Double Cross in 42mm. Should be fast enough and stable/agile for where I ride to be a solid upgrade.

Had these for a while and very happy with them. I run them tubeless and have so far been puncture free. They do not loose pressure over time unlike some other tubeless i've had. I used them on wet trails recently and I was like Bambi on Ice which is to be expected as these are for "Dry" conditions. Definately recommend if used as designed.
Amazing tyres! - just used them on a seven day tour of backroads in the Scottish Borders. Great on all grades of gravel, road asphalt and grassy singletrack - even great in the wet, and mud.Flexible walls give great bump absorption. Got one small puncture from a thorn - burning was easily repaired.
I really want to like this tire and have just started riding it. However, it is the most difficult tire to mount that I have encountered -- and I have been riding road/gravel tubeless since the the beginning of tubeless era. You will need to use all your tricks and have massive grip strength to seat this. Even after pre-stretching it. A pro mechanic friend has a similar experience. It may also be sensitive to how much rim tape you use. On a HED Emporia wheel with 25 mm inner width, I found it impossible to mount the tire when using the recommended 27mm wide Stans rim tape but only nigh impossible with 25mm wide tape. That said, once the tire is on the rim, it held air for over two weeks without sealant. When testing the transition between pavement and dirt, this ... MoreI really want to like this tire and have just started riding it. That said, once the tire is on the rim, it held air for over two weeks without sealant. When testing the transition between pavement and dirt, this tire doesn't hook up as well as the other tires I have used like the Panaracer or Donnelly X'Plor MSO. It is noticeably more comfortable than these tires, though I am running a bit wider size with this tire and lower pressure (45 psi per the Enve tire pressure chart for my weight).
All on line reviews had positive comments about these tires. Ordered a pair in 700c X 33. After just 780 miles they have failed. Tires losing air. Using soapy water mix I discovered the sidewalls on both sides of both tires had numerous small leaks everywhere! Very disappointing for a Vittoria product. I'll be contacting Jensen to discuss replacement.
These tires roll well, they're durable, and their shoulder knobs will reliably save you if you loose traction as you're turning/banking on loose gravel. It's a similar idea to the Specialized Pathfinder but executed far more efficiently. The Pathfinder is great for smooth, flat riding, but it's trash as soon as the riding gets technical - the knobs are squirmy and unpredictable, whereas the Terreno Dry will engage reliably and predictably as soon as the shoulder knobs make contact w/ the ground.I ride mellow single track and loose over hard gravel, and I do wish these tires had small center tread for better traction going straight. The center tread (or not-tread, to put it more accurately) cuts loose more easily than something like the Bontrager GR1 or the Maxxis ... MoreThese tires roll well, they're durable, and their shoulder knobs will reliably save you if you loose traction as you're turning/banking on loose gravel. The center tread (or not-tread, to put it more accurately) cuts loose more easily than something like the Bontrager GR1 or the Maxxis Rambler when you're putting power to pedals on steep uphills or when you're breaking on a steep descent, which is why I don't recommend it as a front tire for anything other than pavement and ultra smooth gravel.I'm 160lbs and ride ~42psi. Haven't had any issues with seating the tire and haven't had any issues with punctures.
I purchased them for use in a very hybrid surface, northern Mexico loaded bikepack. They were very comfortable and suitable, on everything from super-slippy Monterrey asphalt to actual urban dumps to packed dirt roads. Typical plush smooth Vittoria roadfeel, typical oddly durable Vittoria graphene wear resistance. I washed out the tires and bodyslid on that crazy ultra-remelted and resolidified asphalt, but nothing woulda helped that situation, in my opinion.
I bought 2 - one for front tire, one for back. Front tire went on with little effort and works great (5 stars). The back tire was _way_ too tight for the rim and took forever to get it on. Once on, I tried taking it off again since I use tubes and wanted to see if it would be feasible to change a flat on the road - yeah, there's no way I could - so it remains off (0 stars). Average = 3 stars.
