I have been eating canned sardines, kipper snacks and salmon for years and never tried mackerel. Since it's by Wild Planet, my favorite canned fish company, I tried. It is delicious, not fishy, nice texture. I am definitely ordering more. It's also less expensive than the salmon. And it's packed in water.

I've had many different brands of canned mackerel, but this is my first time using Wild Planet mackerel. These pretty much taste just like the other quality canned mackerel brands I've tried, so they taste delicious! Not fishy at all and doesn't have a weird aftertaste like Wild Planet Sardines always have. I hope they come out with other flavors by adding ingredients like jalapeno, chili pepper, etc.

I just love mackerel with mashed potatoes, It's like a comfort food for me, that doesn't stress my IBS. I'm very happy that I finally found I healthy mackerel can and it tastes great, because in my country I can only find regular mackerel with sunflower oil which is not the healthies options. Thank you iherb and Wild Planet for these great quality fishes! I will order again!
I’ve used other products from this brand and found them very good so when trying this kind of fish for the first time, I believe I got a good example of what it is! It’s a little fishy and softer than I expected, but surprisingly good and not too fishy. Gotta love good quality fish :-)
Great brand. Strong smell but enjoy the taste. No additional ingredients except salt. Perfect portion size. Can has pull tab and fairly easy to open. Reasonable price
As a regular consumer of canned fish, I enjoy these fillets on top of a salad most often. They are flavorful without being too fishy and not overly salty or oily. After trying other brands, this is the one I go back to. You’ll probably like this canned mackerel ... ☺️ 😊☺️ 😊 great size and good package, use it for keto diet
The taste and flavor are great, I like the size and the packaging. The smell isn’t too fishy. I like the quality and that the ingredients are clean with no preservatives. I will be sure to include it in to my diet from now on.
I do not like this because it is packed in sea salt instead of olive oil and has some of the skins included in the can. Very "fishy" smell and "fishy" taste. I bought three cans of this because the Wild Planet Wild Mackerel, Skinless & Boneless Fillets in Extra Virgin Olive Oil were sold out. Those are Skinless & Boneless fillets and do not have a fishy taste. I will not order the Wild Pacific Mackerel in sea salt again--disappointed.
