The charger is neat, functional and convenient. It has the same footprint as the Roam speaker, so when in use you don't notice it. It keeps the Roam fully charged . It cannot overcharge the Roam one just leaves on the unit when not 'roaming' about. It attaches to the Roam magnetically which makes the combined units very stable. If you have a Roam I strongly recommend you purchase the neat little charger unit.

I purchased this as a bathroom speaker based on its water resistance rating - so far its done an excellent job paired with my Echo Show 15 over bluetooth. I also have this connected via wifi although Alexa can be a bit hit and miss with Sonos speakers. I already had a Sonos One Speaker so the Roam compliments it well - Sound quality is great but wasn’t expecting miracles due to its small size. It looks great paired with the wireless charger although it struggles to play and charge on it at the same time - when its dead, the wireless charger wont work at all so have found it needs plugged in with the USB C cable. Build quality is really nice and would definitely recommend

As this is pretty much a definitive release just wanted to write a review to say this includes the commentary track! When I first saw this was getting a local 4K, 3-disc release I was over the moon, but when it finally came out with no mention of the hilarious commentary track on the back I was worried I would still have to import an overseas edition to get the full package.Banking on it being a misprint on the sleeve rather than an omission on the disc I picked it up anyway and was rapt to see the commentary alive and well on the UHD disc. It is missing from the blu ray disc though, so anyone grabbing this release in the 2-disc blu ray edition might want to hang on to earlier releases that included it.

Whilst this product is close to a 4 star review (I'll get onto the reason shortly) it's very convenient if have the roam as it acts as a base and saves plugging a cable in/out.Obviously a first world problem but often we plug things in to charge days later purely as we'll be dropping things off on my way to do something else, this negates that issue. Charges as you would expect, but the almost reason is due to the roam. The roam sounds much much better if it's on it's side rather than upright, which means if you do need to charge it you awkwardly need to position it to use the charger at the same time, the sounds not awful.. it's just not as good.
This charger has been thoughtfully designed. It is lightly magnetic, making the speaker secure, but not a pain to remove. When placed on the charger, the fit is so perfect that they appear to be a single unit. The wireless charger takes much longer to charge the speaker than the USB cable - typically 6 hours versus 1.5 hours for the cable. However, I have been unable to find any use case (for my lifestyle) where this is an issue. I generally only use the speaker away from the charger for an hour or so, then replace it on the charger, so it is almost always fully charged when I need it to be.I felt this charger was a little expensive for what it is, but was fortunate to spot it discounted when I purchased. The Sonos Roam Wireless Magnetic Charger comes with a USB power adaptor (not shown here)!I simply plug it in to a plug socket and sit my Sonos Roam on top of it. The Sonos Roam charge light illuminates and begins to charge instantly. What I like about it the most is you can just lift your Sonos Roam off the wireless charger docking station and take it with you without having to disconnect any leads. When you're finished, simply place it back on the docking station to charge. I also like the fact that if you are out & about for longer periods of time and need to charge your Sonos Roam, you can do so by connecting the wireless charger USB connector to a powered USB port such as a power bank.
This wireless charger works as intended. Where it differs from others, is that it has a smaller profile, that aligns seamlessly to the Roam, and it magnetically attaches. The magnets are great if you do not intend on moving the Roam much (or are docking it in a location that is susceptible to bumps). However, I find that a non-magnetic wireless charger is best for quick grab-n-go situations.
This charger is fantastic! It is a lot more convenient than the charging cable that is included with the Roam. It is also magnetic, so the Roam does not fall off the charger very easily. I recommend this charger. You can use it with the Roam in the vertical or horizontal position just as easily. Much better looking that the cheap no-name models out there.
Rather an expensive charger but it does work very quickly. Sonos is very swiftly charged up and ready to go. At least using the correct charger you are pretty certain nothing is going to blow up.
I like it. Obviously it's overpriced but it does the job well. I don't like that taking off the roam is a two hand operation. The charger magnetically sticks to the bottom of the roam and you have to keep it in place with your hand.
