Sweet Delight. I don't remember what the real Scotch Fingers taste like, but these were good enough. I do prefer the variety with the chocolate base - they are delicious, and you can't stop at one. I did use these as a biscuit base for a cheesecake dessert, and in rum balls. They worked well. The kids even used them for s'mores as that was all we had in the cupboard. Texture is a bit crumbly, and it is not odd to have biscuits broken in the packet. Sadly, GF products do have an overly floury texture to them, somewhat dry too. Nevertheless, I would still purchase these as the price is reasonable.

Delicious! I really enjoyed these. I imagine if you needed gluten, dairy, lactose or egg free biscuits that you would be very happy with them. They are different to a standard Arnotts scotch finger. I found them a bit crunchier, less buttery but a stronger flavour that I actually preferred to the original. The texture reminded me of shortbread when it is made with a coarse rice flour, but firmer. The rest of the family disagreed with me, they liked them but prefer the original. Would definitely purchase again if I needed a gluten free biscuit.

Yuck. I really did not enjoy these biscuits. At first I thought they were only gluten free, so I still expected them to taste fairly good. Then I tasted them and I knew straight away that they must also be dairy free - there was a very overpowering taste of what I thought was almond milk. Looking at the packet, I noticed the dairy free, egg free and lactose free label. I think the culprit of the overpowering taste is the chickpea flour - interestingly, there is no milk or any liquids listed in the ingredients list. I did like the texture - a good crunch, yet still a nice softness that one would expect from a scotch finger. Perhaps this is a good product for people with intolerances, and they may be more accustomed to these flavours. It's good that this exists for ...Ā MoreYuck. I really did not enjoy these biscuits. Afternoon tea with a cup of tea. Not having an issue with gluten, I’ve never really tried anything gluten free intentionally, especially biscuits as I’m not a big biscuit fan anyway. I was looking forward to trying these though. They went well with a cup of tea. Not too crumbly, they held together well when snapped in half. I did think they slightly lacked the full on yummy, buttery taste of the non gluten variety, but they were still a lovely biscuit to have with a cup of tea. High in fat and sugar as you would expect but ok for a sometimes treat. A star off for only having 40% Australian ingredients. I can’t comment on the price and value for money as I couldn’t find any other GF biscuits to compare them too. I liked the suggestion from others to use them as a base for a cheesecake or slice. Good idea. Thanks for the sample.

Nice Gluten-Free Treat Option. Well a tad dearer than normal biscuits I didn't find these overly expensive taking into account the dearer ingredients and how much harder they are to make. I've bought these for hubby before so were easy to find in the Health Food section and a well received sample. He likes them and I had a taste today to test them out for here. Not only are they gluten free but also dairy free, egg free and lactose free so good for a wide range of diets and medical conditions. It's good that they have no artifical colours, flavours or preservatives and both tray and packet are recyclable. The only negative that even though made in Australia they only use approx. 40% of Australian ingredients which could be a lot higher. They broke in half nicely and were indeed crisp and fresh and didn't crumble excessively so easy to eat. They did have a slightly different taste to normal Scotch Fingers but I didn't mind it and if offered would be happy to eat again but since I am reducing my sugar intake only occasionally. However if you are gluten-intolerant then these would make a nice addition to your pantry to have with a cuppa or as a base for desserts.

A dry biscuit that's full of sugar. This is the second gluten free scotch finger biscuit (sfb for short) I've sampled now, the first one was coated with chocolate. Now I'm tasting the biscuit on its own. It's hard to get over just how insanely dry this biscuit is. If you don't have this sfb with a drink, I promise that you will be soon after. I didn't want a cuppa before tasting this, now I'm half way through a tea and I still have that dry taste in my mouth. My daughter tried one and put it down. I asked if it was because of how dry it is. She responded that all she gets is a mouth full of sugar. She's right, it is a very sugary biscuit. It explains why I didn't want sugar in my tea. It says on the packet that it melts in your mouth. Hahahahaha....... lies! It's a ...Ā MoreA dry biscuit that's full of sugar. I know it's supposed to be dairy and lactose free, but perhaps look at alternative milk options like almond, soy, anything. This biscuit needs something to soften the blow to your mouth.

A nice treat. We have been purchasing these across the years for an extra at family gatherings, special events, or when travelling... Yes they have sugar and golden syrup, but they are a biscuit and seen as a sometimes food or treat, then we can treat them as an indulgence. We find them a little on the sweet side, basically because we don't eat a lot of processed foods and have a relatively clean diet. Given that, we always need a cup of tea or something to cut that sweetness. If you want to go a little more indulgent, a piece of sugarless dark chocolate is nice with these. Good also to use as a base in a coconut "cheese" cake. We purchase the chocolate-coated scotch finger in this brand also when travelling and can't make our own treats.. We love that they are made in Australia. Packaging is "return to store" and recyclable. Thanks for the sample.

Decent. Firm to bite on, but once you start to chew the biscuit turns to powder then melts. They weren’t too sweet. Tasted good. Kind of surprised actually. Biscuits break perfectly down the centre. I didn’t get to try them with tea or coffee unfortunately. Nice outer pack design. The internal pack had 9 biscuits 5 in one compartment 4 in the other, a bit off as the side with 4 had a lot more space to move which caused that side of the biscuits a bit damage. Austrlian made. No preservatives and unnecessary additives.

Better than the name brand. I was very impressed with this Woolies free from gluten scotch finger offering. These biscuits are reminiscent of a 'regular' scotch finger biscuit and have a great texture that isn't overly powdery or crumbly. I have friends who love these biscuits and think that they are even better than the recently released name brand gluten free scotch fingers. I certainly found myself going back for more, and most pleasingly the fingers broke perfectly in half which made it perfect for dunking in my cup of tea. Made here in Australia, with at least 40% Australian ingredients and at a cost of $2. 70 for a 160g pack, it is a decent product. I would certainly consider repurchasing in the future.

But overall I think most people would enjoy this biscuit. Thanks Bunch for another enjoyable GF sample. I have used these biscuits since they first came out and will continue to do so.
