Pretty good. Frozen strawberries are convenient for smoothies and on top of my porridge and bircher muesli. They are sliced to about 5mm and easy to blend. With the high
water content of strawberries (vs blueberries and raspberries) it is obviously they won’t have the same texture as fresh berries when they defrost. if you expect that you won’t
be disappointed. They have the texture of cooked fruits, somewhat like stewed apple slices. The taste is there (of paler strawberries not the deep red of sweet ripe ones) but
texture might be off putting for some. Best for - smoothies, baking, “stewed” soft dessert or breakfast type dishes. Try in a fruit compote (fancy word for cooked f... Show more

Quality is very good. I often buy frozen fruits particularly when fresh prices are high. I always have raspberry, blueberry & strawberry in my freezer, and my new favourites are
the Summer Fruit Blend and Ruby Fruit Blend, hmm hmm Easy to find in the freezer section with the bright packaging depicting yummy sliced strawberries. Easy to open tear
along the top and when opening they smell just like fresh strawberries. The only downer for me is there is no "window" to see the actual fruits, but having purchased these
before I know the quality is good. 5 star health rating because nothing is added, they're just pure strawberries, already sliced for your convenience. I use these fr... Show more

Woolworths Frozen Strawberries 500g. Product: Woolworths Frozen Strawberries 500gMy children love frozen berries/fruits all year round. Regardless of the temperature
outside you will see them munching on a frozen fruit straight out of the freezer. We normally buy frozen fruit/berries from another supermarket however, lately majority of the
supermarkets are very similar in price. They are an expensive item on my supermarket list, but I prefer the kids eating these than a sugaring sweets ie lollies or piece of

I use these fruits a lot in my cooking and baking either frozen or thawed. When thawed they look quite syrupy and they taste sweet. The slices are all different sizes however the thickness of the slice is uniform and they are a good usable size without going mushy. Use them in a trifle on top of your sponge layer, mix in with jelly while you're making it so they set in it, use thawed with ice cream or cream, make excellent smoothies, add to your breakfast cereal and of course cook them in your pancakes. They also cook up beautifully if you want to make a strawberry coulis. They are so versatile and tasty and always handy to have in the freezer. I'm hooked, at around $5 for 500g regardless of the season, bargain. Taste as good as the more expensive brands too. I made some yummy strawberry muffins, delicious as always the fruit stayed plump and juicy. Recommend this product as I do with all the Woollies brand frozen fruits and most definitely purchase again from me... Show more

Strawberry crumble. I presumed this product would be quite soggy after being defrosted as we grow our own strawberries and have experienced that when we freeze our own. So I left picking up this sample until I knew what I wanted to make. I decided to use the recipe by Nagi from Recipe Tin for her strawberry crumble but as this is only 500g and I needed 1Kg of fruit I added the rhubarb that we have been picking from our own garden and freezing. Turned out great. https://www. recipetineats. com/strawberry-crumble/?fbclid=IwAR2zcLpcVprUj1pRVUXV_GswAXrvPMyNqjAauq88DT19L1ORMf5xptoqeXsPack was $6. 20 which is sort of what you expect to pay so no surprises there. No artificial colours, preservatives or flavours. Came from Chile which is disappointing as I have gone strawberry picking in farms all over Victoria and Tasmania so sure there must be a commercial venture somewhere that could do this. Tried the strawberries before we made the crumble and they were nice, soggy but nice, not overly sweet so I added the full amount of sugar to the recipe to also take in for the tartness of the rhubarb. Would probably get again to make this recipe if we had guests coming and not enough of my own home grown strawberries in the freezer.... Show more

Good For Smoothies. I'm a regular purchaser of frozen fruits and berries so I was really excited to receive this sample. Unfortunately, for me, it wasn't as good as I'd hoped. I know that when you freeze fruits the texture can change but this is the first time I've found the thawed texture of the frozen fruit really unpleasant. Upon thawing to enjoy with plain yoghurt I found the fruit to be slimy and texture was mushy. The taste was beautiful and sweet though. So much so that I actually double checked the ingredient panel because I was sure that it had added sugar. No added sugars, just natural sweetness. Upon checking that panel though my heart sank when I saw that this product is produce in Chile from ingredients of various origins. So so so disappointing ... MoreGood For Smoothies. Nice Packaging & Convenient. These strawberries are easy to find in store in the freezer section with the other types of frozen fruit. The red packaging with the pictured strawberries on the front really stood out. Priced at $5 for 500g. It is very convenient to keep a packet of these frozen strawberries in the freezer so you can always have them on hand, especially when they are not in season. I really liked the resealable bag too. However, these strawberries aren't as nice as the fresh ones. These tasted a little stale to me. They are also a bit too expensive for my liking. Our local greengrocer is selling fresh strawberries for 99c for 200g at the moment as they are in season, so I prefer to buy fresh as they taste much better. Would prefer whole strawberries. There is only ONE purpose for frozen strawberries as far as I am concerned:They keep your champagne cold without watering it down and taste delicious at the end, however I do prefer them whole for this purpose (the reason for the loss of 1/2 star) and regularly freeze fresh ones (just cut the tops off and put them in the freezer). Therefore, I needed to use the rest of the sample packet up. I cooked a batch of strawberry and vanilla muffins using this recipe of mine raspberry and white chocolate yoghurt muffins swapping the raspberries for 200g frozen strawberries, left out the white chocolate, added an extra teaspoon of vanilla, and sprinkled with vanilla sugar. They were absolutely divine and got gobbled up quickly! so these ... MoreWould prefer whole strawberries. I would buy them again for baking and if for some reason I ran out of frozen whole strawberries when fresh were out of season. Yes more than happy to recommend them and although would prefer Australian strawberries (the reason for the loss of the second 1/2 star) because of the food miles, also understand why some of these products need to be imported.... Good but not perfect. Located in the freezer isle these strawberries are convenient to have in. I used them to make a quick strawberry sauce to go with pancakes and they were sweet enough that ot didn’t need much sweetening. They have a lovely vibrant red colour. These are strawberry pieces rather than whole strawberries. The sizes of strawberry pieces varied, but this is not an issue for me. Some looked like they were a little bruised or had freezer burn. The bruises isn’t a big deal, as I don’t agree with the waste involved in aiming for perfect fruit. My toddler also enjoys these as a snack straight up frozen. I do worry about the hepatitis A risk or having them raw due to the outbreaks over the years in frozen imported berries, but as my husband pointed out ... MoreGood but not perfect. The health star rating is 4. 5/5 which is a little confusing as the only ingredient is strawberries. I would have thought plains strawberries would be rated 5, but I guess that’s how the system works. Fantastic Product! We like to keep a selection of frozen fruit in the freezer, so I was interested to see what these were like. We usually buy mixed berries or blueberries. The strawberries were easy to find in the freezer section, with the other packets of frozen fruit. At $6. 20 for the 500 gram bag, I thought there were reasonably priced. On opening the bag I was really happy to see that the strawberries were sliced. Often with frozen berries the strawberries are whole and they are two big, particularly when you try and defrost, and they can become a bit mushy. The sliced berries are much easier to use, especially for smoothies and cooking. I also popped a couple of slices into my glass of bubbles, and really enjoyed them.
