Glad to provide an updated review as other reviews are at least 2 years old. First, the casserole AND lid are "Made in the USA". In the large box of the steamer set, there are two separate boxes -- one with the casserole and lid that says Made in USA, and another box with the steamer basket that says Made in China. Casserole and lid are absolutely top quality. The steamer is of lesser quality but still very decent, with good weight to it, though I also believe steamer basket needs not be as thick as the casserole. I can not say the fit is 100% perfect however. Feels a little "rocky" when you put the steamer basket on. The 4 handles do not have perfect line-up but not very noticeable or enough to send back. I was really pleased to find this exclusive All-Clad steamer ... MoreGlad to provide an updated review as other reviews are at least 2 years old. First, the casserole AND lid are "Made in the USA". I have really enjoyed using this product and would highly recommend.

All Cladnever lets me down. And this classy vegetable steamer is perfection. I finally burnt up my ancient revere ware steamer quite by accident, so i ordered a new one and was delighted that the best cookware on the planet makes one. The 5 quart is the perfect size, the design knows just what good cooks are looking for, and it cleans up to gleaming beauty effortlessly. Good thing it's pretty because it may never get put away.

Steaming veggies releases a vegetables natural flavor like no other cooking process — I was looking for a steamer that would be large enough to do two or more veggies at the same time, this is it. To boot, the base is large enough to use to cook soup in. I like the weight. No crazy heavy and not flimsy. Also nothing beats the hygiene of stainless steel. This is a good one.

I love the 5-quart steamer. I can steam a fair amount at one time. I can stem two artichokes at once. It steams very fast and the lift out steamer basket is wonderful. It’s large, but very versatile. I often use just the pan for making sauces or cooking almost anything. Love this great cooking pot.
The only reason I gave this cookware four stars is because on the bottom of the 3 qt.pan was a small group of scratches.Otherwise, this is probably the heaviest set of cookware I have every owned. They heat quickly and evenly. The handles are strong and do not seem :to get hot.I’m very happy with them.
This pot is a disappointment. The strainer sits about 2 inches above the bottom of the pot. When filled with 4 quarts of water, the pasta sits in about 4 inches of water. You can’t use more water or it will boil out of the side between the pot and strainer. The water boils out vigorously through the top holes in the strainer as the pasta just sits in the bottom of it—there’s no movement at all. Now I’m using just the pot, which defeats the purpose of buying this combo. Glad I got it for a deeply discounted price.
Great steamer with one flaw: small spots appeared on the the inside bottom of the pot while I was using it the first time. They do not rub off during cleaning. The spots mar the appearance of the pot but, thankfully, they do not affect its ability to do its job: steam items efficiently.
Another wonderful entry to my All-Clad collection, the Stainless 5-qt steamer is beautifully designed & manufactured; it functions perfectly. I love the ease of cleaning; towel-dry and the set gleams anew. All-Clad elevates my cooking experience daily.
I own a pantry full of All-Clad cookware, and swear by it, like Ina Garten! However, this pasta pot was a bad investment. Once you put enough water in it to cover what you're cooking, it boils up and splatters all over the stove! I will just use the pot to cook some sauce, soup, or chili, and never use the insert except to drain pasta in sink. This is not Macy's fault, it is a design flaw from All-Clad. I almost couldn't believe it was an All-Clad brand!
I was hesitant about buying such an expensive steamer, as none of the cheaper ones I've had in the past worked very well. This one works perfectly. The other steamers released a lot of steam between the lid and the pot. All Clad's lid doesn't release the steam. I've had it for about a month or so and use it a few times each week (that frequency wasn't an option on the drop-down list for the question). It's large enough to steam some fish and veggies at the same time. It's been easy to clean. I towel dry. Yes, it leaves a water stain on the bottom of the pan, but the water here stains everything. One of the best features is the actual steamer pan. So, it's able to make use of all of the steam and evenly cook the food. This is my 3rd All Clad product and, by far, the most expensive pans I've ever owned. Glad I bought all three. I recommend and am very impressed with this product and the brand.
