As a cosmetologist I know haircare products and typically Aveda is a winner. Unfortunately this line just doesn't do it for me. I'm bleach blonde and keep my hair in good condition. I recently bleached it again and wanted to try a new haircare line specifically to repair damage because obviously bleach is harsh.It's a shame that I spent so much money on the entire repair Aveda line. After only one use it felt more dry, lifeless, frizzy and broken. I tried a few more times in hopes that my hair would have to get used to it a bit but no luck. Very disappointed.

So I’ve been using this for a while (6+months) and really haven’t noticed a difference. It’s a bit heavy for my fine hair but I could see it working for someone with really thick or damaged hair. It smells nice (that herbal Aveda smell) and for me, I put it on before blow drying. It just weighs my hair down. I’m also in a humid climate, but I bet this would be great for people in drier places. Anyway, it didn’t damage or do anything bad, just a bit much for mine. I know Aveda makes quality products, so this is probably just specific to me, maybe you’ll have better luck 🤷🏼♀️

I have been using this for years on my long, prone-to-dryness colour treated hair. It is a rich buttery texture that combs through tangles very well and leaves my hair feeling deeply conditioned. I love that it only needs a few minutes if you are pushed for time. It also doesn’t over-condition my hair if I end up leaving it on for longer (though you really don’t need to).

This has always been my favorite deep conditioner. Used it yesterday and my hair is Shining from within. I haven't seen that for a long time. I was told it wasn't made anymore when I called Aveda.com. Bounce like it used to have. It's much better for me than your green. Please don't discontinue. Look how high it's rated compared to the green!
I LOVE this product and have used it for years. It is truly one of a kind. It leaves my hair light, airy, shiny, and silky. It is it not heavy or sticky. It rinses off easily and my hair just feels healthy and clean. I have tried all of the new Aveda lines, and they unfortunately all leave a gunky/sticky residue on my hair and scalp causing irritation. Please never get rid of this 💗
My hair is fine and prone to splitting, leaving it dry, damaged and often a bit frizzy. The damage remedy range from Aveda has been a game changer and this treatment mask in particular has transformed my hair. After using my hair seems thicker, silkier and more manageable, making it much easier to style and full of body and movement, with no sign of frizz. I regularly use Aveda hair products but this range is my new favourite.
I am aware that everyone has different hair 'needs'. I have highlighted, lowlighted almost all gray hair. I had this product for awhile and used it properly and was pleased enough with the results. HOWEVER when I accidently got a phone call and let it sit in my hair for about 30 minutes I was amazed. My hair felt like it did before I had any gray. It was soft, shiny and so healthy. I will use it at least once every week or two and leave it in as long as I have time for. I also use blue malva and brilliant conditioner on a normal routine basis. My hair did not feel heavy or oily because you do rinse this product out.
I've literally never written a product review in my life, but today's the day I write about this Aveda product. This restructuring treatment/deep conditioner is a life changing product, and I'm not exaggerating. I've never before used a conditioning treatment that changes the way my hair feels instantly after showering. Do you know that feeling after a haircut where the ends of your hair feel really thick and healthy? That's what this product does. It feels like you just stepped out of the salon with a fresh trim. I have very fine, curly, frizzy hair and I typically use a lot of heat treatment. This stuff truly works. I recommend it to everyone I know - trust me, you will not regret trying this.
I purchased the entire Damage Remedy line a few weeks ago. My hair feels like straw after using all of it. Really don't understand why? My hair is in need of repair from highlights and heat damage, so I was very excited to start using this after reading everyone's fantastic reviews. I've followed the instructions completely. Maybe it's repairing my hair, but just doesn't feel like it? Either way, I can't justify ever buying again. Really unfortunate, especially since it was very expensive for the shampoo, conditioner, and conditioning treatment; now I have a bunch of product I won't use and am out quite a bit of money.
