I struggled with an eating disorder in my teenager years and early twenties, leaving my hair an absolute mess. It was dry and sparse and had been falling out. I went to the hairdressers and they used Damage Remedy on my hair and the difference was miraculous! I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner ever since. The shampoo smells of bergamot, mandarin and ylang ylang and it is such a beautiful bouquet of scents. My hair has been rescued and it feels and looks beautiful! I love this shampoo and I would highly recommend it for anyone who has damaged hair. It truly is a damage remedy. I also love that the brand is cruelty free! It’s a win win! I would highly recommend this product. Also, you can buy the products in 250ml or 1L bottles! 😊

I dyed my hair for about 3 years and since then my hair hasn't ever been right. I have not had hair dye since then. So, a year ago I was expecting heavy breakage to the point I almost cut off my hair again because nothing was working. I mean nothing and I tried so many products.I went to a random hair salon one day and had a few things done. Introduced me to AVEDA... Damage remedy.... and, I was hooked. So I bought a big shampoo and conditioner and showered. I was amazed on how my hair responded. This is the best shampoo ever.*** Don't you ever stop making this product and do not change the formula. I have been a faithful Aveda user for years and years now. I have tried to give the newer products a chance but find that the Damage Remedy shampoo and conditioner work best for my aging, colored hair. The botanical line is too heavy for my hair and leaves my hair feeling greasy without the moisturizing that I need. The Nutri-Plenish leaves my hair flat and feeling weird. So, back to my favorite, Damage Remedy I went! AND after reading all of the positive comments, a large Aveda clientele feel the same way! If it's not broke, don't fix it. With that being said, BRING BACK THE DAMAGE REMEDY LITERS!!!!! Before you lose more customers.

I don't know who is making the decisions to change formulations/ingredients, but whoever it is must not like the customers. There are no shampoo/conditioners I can use in the Aveda line anymore. I have used Damage Remedy for many years, and when I recently started using a new liter I had purchased a little while back, I was surprised at the way it looked, (like vaseline), and at the sticky way my hair ended up feeling. What an absolute waste of a lot of money. I had also been a longtime user of Color Conserve. But, then it was yanked and the weird concoction that is Color Control took it's place. Another absolute waste of money. It weighed my hair down and made it greasy feeling. That's not moisture, it's just a weird coating. The only things I'm using now are a few ... Another absolute waste of money. It weighed my hair down and made it greasy feeling. That's not moisture, it's just a weird coating. The only things I'm using now are a few styling products. If those formulations get changed, it's completely bye-bye Aveda. Whoever is in charge needs to give the consumers what they want, not what THEY want the consumers to want.
My naturally curly hair has been dry and frizzy lately. I just got low lights and highlights done a week ago. I washed my hair twice and felt my hair was damaged. So I decided use the Aveda Damage Remedy Shampoo and Conditioner. Well let me tell you, I immediately noticed a difference in my hair. My hair felt more healthy. I will continue to use this product.
I used Damage Remedy before switching to the botanical repair. My hair was just not looking great and breaking off after using a non Aveda clarifying shampoo after the gym this summer so I thought I would give damage remedy a try again. The scent was very faint compared to how it used to be and I have to use a lot of product to get a lather. Next time I'll go back to botanical repair and hope that works better. The conditioner was the saving grace of this purchase, but I think it's being discontinued. The conditioner gives moisture without being heavy and has a very pleasant Aveda scent.
I can't understand why you have discontinued the liter bottles of DAMAGE REMEDY!! This product was my all-time favorite shampoo and conditioner, and it saved my badly-damaged, over-processed hair years ago. I've tried your other lines and I don't like how they make my hair look and feel. In looking at the other reviews for Damage Remedy, I see that I'm not the only one who is very frustrated with Aveda and is ready to permanently leave as a customer. The fact that you only offer small bottles of the Damage Remedy, which is more costly, is a disservice to your loyal customers. And frankly, poor business practice. PLEASE READ AND CONSIDER YOUR CUSTOMERS' WISHES!!!
Please don't discontinue the Damage Remedy Shampoo 🧴 & Conditioner!!! I have tried all your other products , along with products outside of Aveda and nothing is like it!!! This product is my staple! My hair soaks it up like no one's business and leaves it smooth and healthy. The replacement product that Aveda has does not provide the same value for my hair. I learned it has something to do w the proteinMolecules it working as well w hair as the new formula, but I don't agree with this decision. PLEASE KEEP DAMAGE REMEDY AND BRING BACK THE LARGER BOTTLE SIZE. While we are at it, please bring back Antigua for your customer points rewards or other locations outside of Britain please. 🙏 thank you! Your loyal customer for 20 years ♥️
I have been using the Damage Remedy line for over 10 years and I have never found anything that compares. It is simply the best. Unfortunately, Aveda does not agree. They are slowly fading this line out. First you get rid of the liters and now you Jack up the prices. Yes, damage remedy has silicone in the formula but that is what makes it great. I do not understand the anti silicone issue currently in hair care. Silicone is a naturally occurring element on earth. Instead the brand that claims to be all about environmental sustainability is making synthetic silicone to replace a naturally occurring element. Make that make sense. Also, how is getting rid of the liters environmentally sustainable?!?! The new lines that have the synthetic silicone are all terrible. I ... I have tried the botanical repair, color control, and nutriplenish. All have terrible and overwhelming scents, especially botanical repair. They also all make my hair a completely tangled mess that is almost impossible to comb through. I never thought I would say this but I will be searching for a new hair care company. Aveda stopped listening to customers a long time ago.
I have been a long time customer of Aveda and purchased liters of Damage Remedy shampoo and conditioner for years!! Soo disappointed that you discontinued the liters and now looks like you only have the 8.5oz bottles. That won't last me more than a few weeks. Such a hassle and ridiculously priced. With all of the competition out there at this point from so many brands, it's crazy to me that you'd discontinue something your customers are asking for based on the reviews I'm reading here I hate to move away from Aveda, but you're forcing my hand!
