Acana Puppy Dry Dog Food - 2kg

We are loving the Acana brands for our sweet puppy, Tillie. She is a Pyredoodle mix and is growing like a weed. We have used a few different Acana brands since we brought her home and have finally landed on the puppy / junior mix. Our son has celiacs disease, so a gluten free option was important to us.

I absolutely love this food for my puppy! I have a German Shepherd and they are known for Gi issues, having sensitive skin etc. I started him on this because we feed our older dog a different kind of Acana. He absolutely loves eating it. I know the ingredients are good which is what is very important to me. His coat is so shiny, thick and healthy. He's also at a healthy weight no upset stomach issues or anything. I would 100% recommend this food to anyone with a new puppy ♡

Finally consistent firm poops!!!

We’ve had our almost 6 months Labradoodle for 3 months now and I’ve tried 3 different brands of food with him which I was told were all really good quality yet Rocky still had inconsistent, poops and I was getting tired and frustrated. Nothing seemed to help. Finally after doing more looking around I came across Orijen and Acana and read up on both. I went into Petco looking for Orijen but they didn’t have the puppy brand I needed for large breeds in stock so I went with Acana puppy and Junior. Boy am I glad I did!!!! My Rocky has not only loved it, but his poops have been consistent and firm! There was the normal couple of days of adjustment but something told me to be patient and it’s been wonderful! GSD Puppy Loves it!

I worked at a holistic pet food store (10 years ago) and we were the first to sell this in the area. This is STILL the best food on the market. My GSD absolutely loves this food and howls like a wolf for it at every meal. Wholesome ingredients with real meat and botanicals make all the difference. I sold this food for years and when it was time for me to get my own pup the choice was easy… ACANA! I recommend this to everyone and stress the importance of a good diet and a healthy pet. In love this food and would recommend it to anyone. My puppies cost is gorgeous and he is thriving!

Grain free

I am really upset about this purchase. I’ve been unknowingly feeding my puppy grain free food for 6 months. No where on this package does is clearly state this product is grain free. Shame on me for not flipping the back over to read the ingredients in detail. Lesson learned but hopefully not at the expense of my furry friends health.

Great taste, but does not agree with my puppy

4mo Cockapoo puppy.Transitioned from Royal Canin (main ingridents: brewers Rice and then chicken meal) to this food.Puppy had wet stools throughout the transition foods.However once we went 100% on Acana, his stools became fully liquid or contained alot of mucus . Switched him back to royal canin and saw improvements almost immediately.I wish I didn't buy the large bag... The store I bought it from doesn't accept returns on open food.

Gut health; Energy

We started our 6-month old puppy on this formula two days ago because I couldn’t find the food he had been eating previously. I chose this based on the ingredients and his bowel movements became ideal the next day. He has had a lot of variation in his bowel habits and movements since he was 3-months, so this is huge for us. Not only that, but he has so much more energy! We can see this is the new brand for us and we are so excited to move him to the adult foods when he turns one year!

My dog loves it!!

I had never heard of a puppy and junior dog food before. Usually brands have a puppy formula and then it goes up to an adult formula. I was impressed with the variety of meats and vegetables in the food. I mean who wouldnt want to feed their dog a food with all of these ingredients, chicken meal, steelcut oats, deboned chicken, whole potato, peas, chicken fat, whole egg, deboned flounder, sun-cured alfalfa, chicken liver, herring oil, pea fiber, whole apples, whole pears, sweet potato, pumpkin, butternut squash, parsnips, carrots, spinach, cranberries, blueberries, kelp, chicory root, juniper berries, angelica root, marigold flowers, sweet fennel, peppermint leaf, lavender. The fresh, whole meats that are in it are what dogs and cats would encounter in their natural environment. This is a very healthy food and my dog really loves it and I would highly recommend it.

Real food!

We recently changed from another kibble after our puppy trainer had us take a look at the first 5 ingredients of what we were using vs. Acana. We were shocked! Deboned chicken, deboned turkey, chicken meal, whole green peas, whole red lentils! Wow! Real food that I would eat! When we looked at what we were feeding...Chicken Meal, Whole Grain Wheat, Cracked Pearled Barley, Whole Grain Sorghum, Whole Grain Corn.....it was clear which was better for our puppy. And our puppy loves Acana!

This food was the cure for Ichthyosis

Our golden retriever was diagnosed by a dermatologist with Ichthyosis. She had white skin flakes that were falling off of her. Wherever she slept, we would have to vacuum her spot in the morning because there was so much dandruff. The dermatologist said this was genetic but with high omega foods, it could possibly get better. We did a ton of research and tried out a few different foods. Acana has literally cured her dandruff. After 2+ months of giving her this food, her dandruff is completely gone. Her fur is so much softer and more shinier. I’m so so thankful for finding this brand. Thank you so much for creating a healthy dog food that cured Ichthyosis. I’d recommend this food to every dog!!
