It works wonders and I like that the perfume is barely noticeable. It feels fresh and very nourishing on my skin. The packaging is nice. I like that it's made of glass. It comes with a spatula that should be used every single time to keep it clean and hygienic. Also, it helps to regulate the amount of product to apply. I'm on my second jar and I might continue using and buying it again. I bought my first jar in November and it lasted until February. I will still use it at night to give my skin a boost of hydration. It did not cause me any breakouts or clogged my pores. The price is a bit high but you do get what you pay for

One of the nicest moisturiser from Avene. It is super hydrating, no Perfum, no colouring. If you looking for a non active, mineral water based, super hydrating face cream, then don’t look any further. Perfect for eczema and very sensitive skin. We sell tones in the pharmacy I work for people with skin issues. Only downside for me , I used up a jar around 3 weeks and it is quite pricey. It’s made up 60 % pure thermal water from France , you won’t find any purer cream.

I found Avène when I damaged my moisture barrier some time back. I had been looking for a brand that was more geared for dry, hypersensitive skin. It seemed like a great fit, so I made a massive order. I actually ordered the nourishing revisiting cream (RICH), with the intentions of using it as my daily moisturizer. At first, it had a really nice, smooth, soothing feel to it, but I quickly learned that IS NOT a good thing with this product. It started 💊-ing very quickly. Bc I hate wasting any kind of skincare products, I always try to figure out if its something from another line that didn't pair well with it. But this time I knew that wasn't the problem, all if the products I had been using were from Avéne. I did find that it worked well as an occlusive type moisturizer as my last step, right before going to sleep, over Retin-A. Its still a nice product if you're looking for something to lock in other moisturizing products, but I wouldn't count on it to be your main, daytime moisturizer 🤷‍♀️

This is a very thick and rich cream that is intensely moisturizing. I have very dry skin and this moisturizer keeps my skin hydrated. The formula of this cream is thick and creamy. It does absorb within a few minutes and it’s doesn’t leave my skin greasy or oily. This cream is very gentle on my sensitive skin. It nourishes dry skin and it strengthens skin as well. I am very impressed with this product and I highly recommend it!

I have acne prone, dry/combination, sensitive skin (in my 30s). Every product makes me break out and irritates me - no matter what. And then my skin settles down to reap the benefits of the product. Not with Avene. This did NOT break me out nor did it irritate my skin. It went to work straight away - it's rich and calming, soothing and hydrating. It feels really nice on my skin, as if blanketing it with a protective layer. It sinks in quickly, does not leave a film, and does not feel greasy at all. I will slather this on in a really thick layer for use as a quick mask (while soaking in the tub) - gently tissue off excess. Or slather it on thick as a sleep mask (whole face or on targeted areas that get very dry and flaky). I'm very happy I found Avene and will be exploring their other products as well. Highly recommend and definitely will be repurchasing.

The best

I was diagnosed with eczema three years ago. Most products were greasy or not moisturizing. Initially I must have purchased the in correct Avene product. I pulled out the Xercalm. What a difference. Now as the eczema has calmed down I tried the Serange range. I added the compensating cream just recently. It has definitely helped my skin. My skin is smooth , no sign of eczema. The plus side of the eczema treatment has been a noted decrease in deep wrinkles. I have been adhering to Avene products for eczema. It has definitely helped.

The secret to my beautiful skin
14 April 2020

I have always had extremely dry skin. As I get older I found it was getting worse. In the morning I would wake up with dry, flaky skin on my face, sometimes it would be itchy too. Having established from the medical field that there were no underlying medical problems and I just needed a good moisturiser, a friend recommended this amazing cream cream to me and I havent looked back since. I leaves my skin soft, velvety and moisturised without leaving any shine or oiliness. I love it and would recommend it to anyone with dry skin.

Too heavy for me and didn't seem to work well
22 July 2016

I have extremely dry, dehydrated skin which flakes in the winter. I have tried so many products to try and moisturise but nothing seems to have worked. I really love the Avene range as it is simple yet effective. I had high hopes for this cream but it didn't seem to make much difference to me. It is very thick (not a surprise really), which usually I wouldn't mind, but it didn't feel nice on my skin. It felt heavy but didn't seem to moisturise in the way it should have for the 'weight' of the cream. I used it for several weeks without seeing any difference. If I ran out of my other cream I kept going back to it hoping for a difference but still no change. Sorry, not one for me.

Very good moisturising cream

Generally I have a normal skin but since 1 year I have seen a dry patch and few fine lines on my forehead. I tried from homemade creams to various day creams, night creams, very claimed product range from Neal yard's and what not but all in vain as nothing helped, in-fact it worsened with time. Finally, I thought of giving Avene Rich compensating cream a try, I didn't expect miracle because its not that expensive a product but I was shocked when my forehead looked lot firmer and the dry patch started to wane off within few applications. My forehead looks and feels great, I don't find my face dry even after washing my face and I feel moisturised all day long, so overall an amazing product within a reasonable price tag. I might try the extremely rich cream during winters to feel super moisturised.
