On paper the features sounded remarkable. It's a good document printer. Trying to print photographs or graphics is hard work. Margins are inaccurate and no amount of adjustment in Printer menu seems to correct the inaccuracy. Double-sided printing documents is okay, but trying to print double-sided graphics or photographs doesn't work, regardless of setting changes in both software or printer menu. Back page is either printed upside down or margins do not match. Have tried setting margins to both sides of page to line up when bound, but they do not. It's a time acting and frustrating printer. Okay if your'e only printing Word.docs.

We needed a cheap to run, long lasting general and photo printer that was A3. This was the only printer that fitted the bill. A3 printer and scanner with pigment ink. We looked closely at the 8500, but didn’t want to rely on dye inks. So, we made a compromise with the few colours, but are very happy with the prints. Our quality reference was photo books we had published in the past and this printer does as good as, if not a better job.Tip to Mac users, if you need more printer options - look at printing via the ColorSync utility.Very happy.

I am really enjoying trying out my new Epson EcoTank Pro ET-16600 Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer. It was extremely easy to set up. I was able to connect, download and install the printer drivers very quickly. The directions for how to unpack and set up the printer and ink were very easy to follow. There were plenty of color coded visuals and steps with notes and tips to help place everything in easily and securely. The only issues I had during setup were that the printer is quite large and needed a good sized space to fit, and the tank cover was a bit stuck when I initially tried to open it, but seems to open more easily now that I did open it once. I enjoyed opening the bottle cap of the inks, inserting it into the port, and watching the ink pour into the tank. ... MoreI am really enjoying trying out my new Epson EcoTank Pro ET-16600 Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer. They did warn that the tank would look less full after priming the printer, and it really did look a lot less than it did initially. I am excited to see how long the printer ink lasts since I will be printing quite a bit on it now.I am excited to try every one of the new features that is included on this printer as well. It does everything from printing to scanning, faxing, copying, and customizable printing. It even had programs for photo editing included in the downloadable software. I am enjoying that feature for editing some pictures I have scanned. I also feel that the printer is nice and quiet, prints quickly, and the color seems to be pretty good so far. I am also pleased with how affordable the ink is now that I have this printer. It will be so much better and much cheaper to replace compared to any printer I have ever owned in the past. This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-16600 Wide Format Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review

I placed the order for this printer online from Dell September 17, 2020. After numerous notices that it was back ordered and shipment delayed it finally arrived November 12, 2020. The package contained no instruction manual or software disc with drivers. After searching the web I found what I believe to be the appropriate software and loaded it to my computer. I also found the quick start and full owner's manuals online.Following the instructions I found in the manuals and from video tutorials I found I attempted to set the printer up with a wireless connection. After searching the web I found what I believe to be the appropriate software and loaded it to my computer. I also found the quick start and full owner's manuals online.Following the instructions I found in the manuals and from video tutorials I found I attempted to set the printer up with a wireless connection. The printer seemed to recognize my computer, but the computer could not find the printer. After many hours of attempting set up on my own I called Epson tech support and followed instructions given to me over the phone for many more hours. Eventually after no success the Epson tech suggested I call Microsoft support.Morel hours spent with Microsoft repeating much of what I was told to do by Epson tech support still failed to resolve the problem. I continued attempting to solve the problem on my own and after weeks of still making no wireless connection I ordered a USB printer cable thinking a wired connection should be easier to achieve. My computer now seems to recognize the presence of the printer, but when I attempt to print I now get a server error and still can not make a print.I have succeeded in making prints from files on a jump drive connected through the printer's front USB port, and have used the copy mode, so I know the printer itself is working. Now nearly four months after placing my order and two months after receiving the printer I feel like this machine taking up space in my office amounts to little more than a very expensive paperweight that can also be used as a copy machine.I am frustrated and disappointed and unsure of what to do next.
I've been using the printer for a month now and it's been fantastic. The prints are of high-quality and come out perfectly. Although it's not the fastest, it still gets the job done efficiently. As for the ink usage, I haven't been able to determine it accurately yet, but it appears to be quite efficient. a plus is the two trays which I can use for tabloid paper and regular letter size paper I don't have to be changing everytime. end result is a great printer for its size and price.
Epson needs to go back to the drawing board with this crap. This is the second Epson EcoTank Pro I'll be returning because it starts printing super slow then it stops printing all together within less than 4 months and less than 200 prints completed. First, return was the EcoTank Pro Et-16650 returned, ordered the 16000 in May 2021, takes forever to print until it won't print at all. Now, I know people will think it's me internet connection, but no it's not. I have 3 other printers, and other devices that work fine everytime I power them on. It's the garbage that doesn't deserve to have Pro anywhere near it's name. Would not recommend! Save your money and invest time in looking further than this garbage.
This was easy to set up and I love the print features. It’s sizable but that’s to be expected. I like that the upper paper tray pops out when it begins to print and love that there are multiple trays. I also like the thoughtful touches like a acoger for when the tray is extended to fit larger paper. It seems to be a good printer so far (I’m a teacher, and I like that I’ll be able to print larger formats), but I’m a bit concerned about several factors.1. A lot of the ink “disappeared” after the ink charging process.2. The software threw my MacBook Pro camera out of whack (I have since uninstalled the software so I’m not sure how things will go now).3. The black print quality seems a bit faded.I’m new to Epson so I hope this tankless printer will suit my printing ... MoreThis was easy to set up and I love the print features. The free ink (through reimbursement from Epson) for two years is also a great bonus.
Moving from a much loved Epson 7510 to this evil beast, I am shocked that it has the name Epson on it! Here are some of the things that I just can't believe about this POC. Automatic 2-sided printing is only available using plain paper. The number of error messages I get while printing is mind numbing and embarrassing. Resetting print preferences is an endless task. The rollers leave scratches and smudges across the face of photographs using high quality photographic paper. It's hard to believe that a printer that cost three times more than my old printer is three times more frustrating (at least!). Buy this printer only if you have unquenchable masochistic tendencies.
First unit I bought lost internet every time it went to sleep or power save mode. Would drop jobs mid job and all.2nd one swapped directly by Epson after a call to tech support was/is betterFor $1000 you should be able to pick between more paper types. The tray opens to not allow papers to hit the floor, but won’t retract after it realizes no weight on the printer. It’s quirky still. Internet drops some, won’t figure out which tray to pull from. Says to insert paper when it has 200 sheets in place.I could go on and on. My workforce 3700 series does better but burns through ink on my AutoCAD renderings. I want to like it and needed something that would print 11x17 or I don’t think I would have spent this much for an ok printer. It has potential and hopefully ... MoreFirst unit I bought lost internet every time it went to sleep or power save mode. Just setting up printer and magenta ink poured straight out of the bottom of the printer! Ink everywhere!! I guess ECO stands for ecological disaster as a jug of ink floods your desk.Epson is kind enough to replace the printer within a week supposedly. They also were kind enough to place a hold on my credit card for $659 until they receive this pile of junk back as a return. The mess cleanup is on me though. My ink-stained fingers now make me look like I've voted multiple times in a 3rd world country election. My advice is to put down a tarp under the printer when initially filling ink tanks. I'm going to fill the replacement in my neighbor's driveway just in case...
