Fujifilm XF 90mm F2 R LM WR Lens
A fast telephoto prime for the Fujifilm X-series of mirrorless cameras, the XF 90mm f/2 R LM WR Lens features a 137mm equivalent focal length along with a fast f/2 maximum aperture for low-light performance and extensive control over focus placement. The lens construction incorporates three extra-low dispersion elements to minimise chromatic aberrations and distortion and a Super EBC coating has been applied to control flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color fidelity. Complementing the optical assets is a robust weather-sealed construction that incorporates seven seals on the lens barrel to protect against moisture, dust, and cold temperatures. Benefitting handling and fast-paced shooting, this 90mm f/2 also incorporates a Quad Linear Motor for quick, quiet, and precise autofocus performance. As a mid-length prime telephoto, this lens is especially well-suited to a variety of shooting applications, most notably portraiture, where the intuitive handling, fast performance, and ability to control your focus are paramount. This lens looks to be in near mint condition with almost no signs of use. The optics are clean and clear with no marks or scratches. The lens barrel shows almost no cosmetic marks. The focus ring is smooth and in great condition. The lens mount is in great condition showing almost no signs of use.

Ordered in Adelaide, Australia, and travelled via Melbourne during lock down. Arrived within a week in first class condition - as always, exemplary service from B&H.The reviews for this lens are all true. It is stunningly sharp, and is the first telephoto lens that I feel does not need a dash of fill-in-flash to bring out its best qualities. I was astounded how sharp hand held 1/80th sec f2 ISO400 shots were, and how magical the rendering was. I have the Canon f2 135mm, and this Fuji lens is marginally sharper, but you don't get the same isolation at full aperture on the Fuji as you do on the Canon. In absolute terms, the Canon is better because of this, but in terms of weight and ease of use the Fuji wins hands down (IMHO).Build quality is exceptional, focus is ... MoreOrdered in Adelaide, Australia, and travelled via Melbourne during lock down. In absolute terms, the Canon is better because of this, but in terms of weight and ease of use the Fuji wins hands down (IMHO).Build quality is exceptional, focus is rapid and 75% accurate when using a small centre spot focal point and readjusting the frame post focus, so 75% isn't bad and is similar to the Canon 135mm, but way better than the Canon 50 f1.2 or 85mm f1.2, which are far more hit and miss (at full aperture). Optically the Canon EF 85mm is as good as the Fuji 90mm, but the Canon EF 50mm f1.2 can't touch the Fuji for sharpness. This lens is excellent for portraits, and also for flower and other natural history applications. It also makes an interesting landscape lens when used to isolate details or compress interesting land- or seascapes. The optical quality and lightweight utility of this lens is simply amazing for the price. I prefer not to have OIS as this compromises optical quality, so no complaints from me on that one. The Fuji 90mm with the 10-24mm and two X-Tn bodies make a brilliant lightish weight travel kit to cover, landscape, portraits and nature.I went through a troublesome decision process over whether to go for the Fuji 50-140mm f2.8 or the 90mm f2.0. Optical quality, closer focus, and lighter weight won the day for the 90mm. Also I have the superb Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS MkII, which is a better lens (full frame) so pointless duplicating this. I also have the f4.0 variant of this zoom, and optically the 90mm wins by a significant margin. Also, the Fuji F2.8 is the equivalent of F4.0 anyway when used on an APS-C sized sensor. In the end it was a no brainer. This lens appears to me to be sharp at every aperture and across the frame and at near and far focus..........I look forward to using it for some serious projects in the near future.PS: I may be saying some nice things about Canon lenses, but the weight/size of my Canon kit means it gets far less use these days. The light weight and optical quality of Fuji X series kit means this is my go to system 95% of the time. Its far more convenient and fun to use. Honestly, 36 inch prints, even from the X-T1 can be show stoppers. I have some on my wall and they are as good as similar sized prints from my Canon and from Ebony 5x4 inch large format Velvia prints - all sit my wall. The Fuji prints probably give me most pleasure. I guess that's all that really matters at the end of the day.

I photograph weddings professionally and have been making the switch from Nikon to Fuji for numerous reasons. The 90mm gives an effective 135mm (FF) field of view with Fuji's X System so much of my own comparison has been between the Fuji 90mm and the Nikkor 135mm f/2 DC lens. The Nikkor is highly regarded, but honestly the Fuji is better. It's sharper with less fringing. Mostly, however, I find it is more accurate on the XT-2 than the Nikkor is on just about any body I've used. The Fuji offers a beautiful rendering of the out of focus areas with soft transitions while still being tack sharp. Focus is fast on the XT-2, a little slower on the X-T10 generation. For staged portraits where I'm not trying to capture fast moving subjects focus is more than fine on either body. The only downside is the oft-repeated lament that it lacks stabilization. That's a design decision Fuji made and I purchased the lens knowing that full well, so I'm not going to hold it against the lens. Within its design it performs beyond expectation and renders a beautiful image. An exceptional optic that any photographer that likes this focal length should be thrilled with.

When this lens works, it works amazingly well. I must admit though, I get a lot of soft images with this. I try so hard to be steady but can't seem to nail focus with this. I just did a photo shoot with a toddler under a cloudy fall sky and my images were not sharp. Under sunny skies, shooting stationary landscape items like flowers, this lens is phenomenal. I especially love it for macro-type shots. I used it in Hawaii and got some beautiful flora images with creamy bokeh in the background. However, photographing portraits, it's very hit or miss, especially if people are walking or slightly moving. Heck even sometimes when they are still, I'll still get a portion that aren't crisp. Even with my speed up and even when I have a strong stance trying to have a steady ... MoreWhen this lens works, it works amazingly well. I must admit though, I get a lot of soft images with this. I ordered the Fuji 90mm f2 R LM WR lens to use for action photography and portaits with my X-T2, and to replace my venerable Canon 135L lens on the Fuji system. The lens is beautifully crafted and balances quite well on an X-T2 despite its weight. The aperture ring and focus ring are very well damped, and the lens has a very premium feel. The audible clunking of the AF system magnets when you tilt the lens back and forth with the camera powered off is a little disconcerting at first, but thats completely normal for this design and you quickly get used to it. The focus speed and sharpness of the lens are everything I expected based on glowing reviews, and the rending of background blur (bokeh) is really lovely. My only problem with the lens was that I received two copies with very obvious, and nearly identical, manufacturing defects. Both had a very noticeable (~1mm) white piece of debris or flaw in the glass on the second optical group near the center that easily caught and reflected light shining into the lens. Although dust in lenses is quite common and usually doesnt affect image quality, the size and position of this debris could cause significant flare so I returned them. B&H was great on the returns, but after this experience I decided to wait before purchasing a third copy to try.
I recently purchased this lens to use for indoor volley ball and to start taking photos at other sporting events for my school. Let me just say this is the best $949 I’ve ever spent. The lens is so incredibly sharp and the f2 makes the lens super versatile. I was skeptical at first thinking 90mm wasn’t enough however I’ve come to love it. It turns out it’s the perfect focal length. I also love this photo for taking portraits as it does an excellent creating the blurry background. All in all I believe this is a perfect lens to have in your camera bag and a perfect lens for sports and portrait photography.
This lens is incredibly sharp. I like that it has a bit of telephoto compression. I have had this lens for nearly two years and it is the lens most frequently on my camera. My most photographed subjects are people and flowers and this lens is great for both of those. If you have a darker room and you're trying to get good pictures from a bit of a distance that f2.0 aperture is quite helpful. I have the 56mm 1.2 and before I got this lens it was always on my camera. Now I barely use it and I think the closer focusing of this lens as well as the larger amount of telephoto compression is the reason for that. It is also a great lens, but I think this one is just a bit better.
This lens is razor-sharp and takes stunning images. Well built and fast focusing. As long as you like the 135mm focal length you can't go wrong. I've used it with great success for landscape photography and street despite it being known more as a portrait lens. The 90mm and xf35mm 1.4 are the two lenses I won't sell.
Changing my lenses from zooms to primes. This has all the build quality of the other Fujicrons and the performance on the latest sensor is still superb in my opinion. Shot long distance images of kayakers on the river yesterday, with loads of margin to crop without losing image quality. Very Happy!
I love this lens! I bought it to complete (I think) my Fujifilm X-T2 travel kit. It is extremely sharp and nails the autofocus. Build quality is superb, made of a very rugged material (mostly metal) but isn't too heavy (540 grams). The design is excellent, no external switches to leak or break. This is a Weather Resistant (WR) lens when a front filter is used which is a major plus. The internal focus feature keeps the camera very stable in one's hand when shooting and is quite unobtrusive. It is almost equal to the Canon L series quality. The lens balances very well on the X-T2 body and carries very well on a neck strap, though I prefer a sling like the OP/TECH. I wish it had Image Stabilization but shooting at 1/125th or a second eliminates nearly instances of blur ... MoreI love this lens! I bought it to complete (I think) my Fujifilm X-T2 travel kit. Shooting at 1/200th or higher eliminates all instances of blur due to camera shake. As the lens aperture is F2.0 it is fast enough that the higher shutter speed poses very few limitations on shooting. There is a nearly inaudible clunk when the camera is powered on and off or when reviewing pictures while shooting. This is due to the camera dropping power to the quad-linear autofocus system. This completely normal so not a problem unless one doesn't know what's causing it. I highly recommend this lens! #sweepstakes
In my near 60 year of experience in photography I used hundreds of cameras and lenses. From entry level Russian cameras to to Hasselblads, Leicas, Rolleis, Voigtlanders, Konicas, Minoltas, many of the main stream Canikon line but always been a "Leica uber alles" thinker and firm believer of perfected logical simplicity that not too many cameras possess. I have a strong foundation to compare and since I could put my hands on the relatively new Fujifilm products I never looked back or anywhere else and simply can't ask for more. Their products are exactly what I always dreamed about and falling in love instantly with every piece from Fuji, and never a slightest disappointment. The Fujinon 90mm f2 lens is not an exemption. Their products are exactly what I always dreamed about and falling in love instantly with every piece from Fuji, and never a slightest disappointment. The Fujinon 90mm f2 lens is not an exemption. The build quality, appearance, image quality and handling on par with or even better than anything I ever used including Canon L 135mm, Nikkor 135mm, Hasselblad's Zeiss 250mm, Leica 135mm APO, and so on. Weather proofing is a big plus however it makes manual focusing a bit tight, but it's reasonable. and rarely us it anyway. The silence of the fast autofocus with the new dual motor was a surprise. None of the previous models were this quiet. Insanely sharp with great contrast even wide open, beautiful bokeh and color rendering, extreme close-up focusing make it a perfect portrait lens. It's compact and as heavy as supposed to be, and balances very well on my X-t1, even on the x-e2. The Fujinon 90mm f2 paired up with the 56mm f1.2 are all the keys I need to create Vogue cover quality portraits or anything else within the range of a real premium prime portrait lens. Image stabilizer would be helpful but I don't have it in any of my other lenses, a steady hand and monopod makes it up. My dream lens, can't ask for more.
