So upgraded to this memory stick which is overkill but why not. It's not everyday that the consumer/enthusiast gets server spec memory sticks (32gb per stick that is). I got this working on a MSI MEG X570 ACE and at 3600 with 18-20-20 timing (needs to be tweaked more). One thing you need to make sure is that the latest BIOS from MSI does not let the system boot. You need their beta BIOS which for me was E7C35AMS.183. Also that beta BIOS allowed me to use the crucial X8 on the back panel USB C but still not on the front panel USB C. Weird I know.

From the moment we turned it on it had issues, an Out-of-box failure!!! Loaded Memtest on USB, tested memory and it failed. Tried each stick individual and in opposite slot. One of the sticks is fails at default bios speed and with XMP turned on. One stick fails in an identical way in each slot or with default timings or with XMP on. VERY dissatisfied as it is now out of Newegg return window due to us buying early in the pandemic to avoid supply issues. I must now put up with the RMA process from GSkill. I was building a custom PC, largely from NewEgg, but accidentally purchased Dual-Channel RAM instead of Quad-Channel. In order to quickly finish my build, I went ahead and bought this RAM pack from G.Skill, and I am very happy with the purchase. I'm not big on RGB, but it works both independently using the Trident Z app, as well as with the Gigabyte RGB Fusion app, so I can synchronize with the AIO pump and the on-board LED. As for performance, I've been able to OC the RAM a bit, up to 3666MHz from the 3200, and it's performing quite well. 128GB was probably overkill, but since I'm building a high-end PC, and it only cost me around $600, I was willing to pay it, since most RAM Pack in that range are more in the $800-900 range.Overall, very happy with the RAM, very ... MoreI was building a custom PC, largely from NewEgg, but accidentally purchased Dual-Channel RAM instead of Quad-Channel. Excellent ram for Ryzen
26 May 2020

Not much to say here: Ram is compatible Ryzen. There is a lot of it (32gb). It looks flashy (very cool default rgb profile) Nonfuss install. Just make sure you check your mother board instructions guide to see which of the available slots you should plug your ram into for best performance. It can very from board to board.

Good performance and aesthetics
23 February 2021

In terms of performance, there's nothing to complain about here. However, paying a premium for the aesthetic elements (RGB) means there is some criticism to be made about this aspect. The looks are subject to personal preference, and I do like the look on these very much, but the issues lie on the software side. These kits are advertised as compatible with ASUS Aura Sync, but getting it to work is not a straightforward process. In my case, I needed to install the G.Skill software alongside the ASUS software to get it working. There could be some issues with this depending on the order in which each piece of software is installed. Overall, I'm happy to get it working but the process is not great. Also note, YMMV depending on which software you need to use. I wouldn't ... MoreIn terms of performance, there's nothing to complain about here. Also note, YMMV depending on which software you need to use. I wouldn't bank on these working with Corsair's iCUE since they are not advertised as iCUE-compatible. You could still use the G.Skill software, but it's pretty bare and you probably wouldn't be able to sync with other RGB components in your build. I haven't tried messing around with the RGB under Linux. As far as I can tell, there is no official support from G.Skill for Linux distros, but OpenRGB claims to support G.Skill so there is some hope there.

Holy cow looks fantastic and tons of RAM
31 August 2021

I purchased the 128GB package for my i9 10980 Extreme build. I could not be any happier with this purchase! The RAM synchs perfectly with my Asus Aura RGB setup, and just looks freaking cool as all get out.The most important part stats! Playing games on my twitch stream, i dont even come close to using 25% of the available. For my career I edit vidros for television, and running Adobe Premiere along with After Effects, I've only chewed up 42% working on a 1.3TB 4k @60fps project thus far.I WILL be purchasing the other 128GB in the future to complete the 256GB capabilities of my machine.I would very highly reccomend this purchase to anyone!

Nice Ram
17 April 2022

Compared to other 3200 cl16 ram, its expensive. I wanted to try some G.Skill with this new build, and it was worth it. The RGB and heat spreaders are very nice. Its rated very highly from everything I read around the interwebs, its all true. Bought it for its compatibility with Ryzen. If you're looking for a solid product and can spend the extra money, get it.

Stability issues, CL16 3200
20 January 2022

While being still functional I cannot run this kit with xmp even after upgrading my motherboard, power supply and cpu. while not completely useless it is still very frustrating. Your luck may very but I would recommend spending the same money for a lower capacity kit of higher quality memory

Works Fantastic
6 August 2020

I bought this because I needed a RAM upgrade. I had bought some regular GSkill, and it kept giving me the blue screen. So I picked this up to see if there was any difference. Yep, works like a charm, and the RGB is pretty slick. Already synced it to my lighting on my MB. So now my MB, RAM, and liquid cooler, all flow together.

Works great so far
7 May 2021

Bought this quad channel memory. Installed on z590 with i711700k. Using the XMP profile and it works great so far. I did not install some heavy applications/games yet to load lot of data in memory but with virtual and ubuntu running never felt anything slowing down. stress tested memory using intel utility and looks good so far. RGB looks good and with certain utilities it can be controlled to change colors.
