Previously I was getting 5 pages a minute may be, color I tested with 10, it came out in less than a minute, the speed is no different from the professional heavy duty printers we typically have at offices.Scanning: Capable of double-sided scanning with excellent detail, this saves so much manual time of feeding pages.Connectivity: Supports Wi-Fi and hardwired connections, with dual-band Wi-Fi for stable, high-speed printing. It readily connected to my Wifi, no 2.5 /5 ghz issues. I was able to plug in the printer, select my primary language and location, load paper into the tray and insert the ink into the printer. A sample page printed out and I was able to successfully scan the page to align the printer. In total, this took approximately twenty (20) minutes.Setting up the printer’s software was as bit more challenging for me; however, persistence pays off. I really appreciate the fact that it has the capability to print 2-sided pages which saves a lot of paper. I signed up for the FREE three-month ink promotion and already received my first shipment of ink to have on hand when the initial ink which came with the printer is exhausted. The printer prints quickly and quietly which is a plus. I am completely satisfied with the printer’s performance and am confident that I will appreciate it even more as I learn more of its features and capabilities.

My household prints a LOT. As a graphic designer and photographer, printing is essential in everything I do. I had multiple college courses for my degrees dedicated to printing. It is something I am VERY familiar with outside of the scope of a normal household. On top of that, my wife is a teacher and as such, prints quite regularly too. Combined, we print probably as much as any small business and then some. All that being said, we also own and use multiple printers. From standard to laser, large format to sublimation; we have experience with all of them. From standard to laser, large format to sublimation; we have experience with all of them. This printer was relatively easy to set up, and I really like the fact that there is a direct app that it links through. The ability to print from anywhere is one of my favorite features because something can be waiting on us when we get home so we do not forget. When it prints, it does so with relatively good speed and clarity. The pages are consistent and there are no heavy waiting times like some of my other color printers from other big brands. While not as fast as laser printing, it is definitely an upgrade to some past printers. The design is modern and fits into your home office environment easily, and doesn't feel too cumbersome. I have managed to print on no less than 10 media types so far with no direct issues with quality, but that is also where the single star decrease comes from. The printer has no setting that I have found for adjusting, nor does it automatically adjust, the ability to mitigate the "paper format mismatch" issue on its own. For instance, putting in plain paper but selecting matte photo from the selection screen. Anything outside of plain paper seems to initiate the error message, which must manually be addressed at the printer or through the app EVERY time you print. Even when selecting the proper format on both the printer and the print settings screen, it has a tendency to create the same error. This is tedious and something other printers I have are far better at handling. That being said, this is the only shortcoming I have found aside from the high ink prices. You are almost forced into the auto ink subscription just because of the prices you'd have to pay otherwise. While I like the auto ink, and have my first delivery already, it should not be the best option for all users. Casual printers should be able to get their ink for more fair pricing without the need to subscribe just for it to be cost effective. I'd say this one makes more sense for a heavy printer or small business than a casual user.

Great little printer
12 March 2024

Very happy with the HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e printer. Bought this as a replacement for my old workhorse HP OfficeJet 8610 Pro and it is a nice upgrade. I was pleased that this printer was smaller and quieter than my old printer, but still has all the features I need (printing, scanning, auto document feeder, supports wi-fi). Plus it prints faster than my previous printer. Black and white prints came out very crisp and clear. Color prints are also good, but for best results you need the correct paper (glossy or photo paper works best). The sheet-feeder is very handy for scanning multiple pages, and the scanner is fast! The little display on the printer is kind of tiny and hard to read, but I mostly print from the computer so it's not a big issue. The little display on the printer is kind of tiny and hard to read, but I mostly print from the computer so it's not a big issue. HP Instant Ink is a good program that can save you money on ink in the long run depending on how much you print. You have to do the math to see if it works for your individual printing needs. Note that if you do use the HP Instant Ink cartridges, the cartridges will no longer work if you un-enroll from the Instant Ink service. One complaint I have is that the HP printer software is a little buggy, and the enrollment process to get the printer up and running was not entirely smooth. If you already have an HP account with Instant Ink (like in my case), it is not straightforward to enroll a new printer in the Instant Ink service, or to un-enroll the old printer. I'm still getting nag emails from HP to complete enrollment even though I'm fairly certain I already completed enrollment and setup on the new printer. In summary, this is a great printer for home use or for a small office.

Purchased this model after chatting with 2 different sales agents via the website. I had a 9015e which was falling apart after a little over 3 years, so was looking to replace it. the 9015e went thru heavy use due to work from home scenario, but having retired, the volume of printing, scanning and copying decreased, so wanted to have something that could last. It seems that it's required to have the Instant Ink program purchased, otherwise, even if I would buy HP ink, the printer doesn't recognize cartridges unless it's part of Instant Ink program. It seems that it's required to have the Instant Ink program purchased, otherwise, even if I would buy HP ink, the printer doesn't recognize cartridges unless it's part of Instant Ink program. I learned that the hard way. I set up the 9125e printer and after 1 hour, it gave me a Printhead Problem message. I contacted a tech via chat and we tried to resolve the issue via the chat, but he couldn't fix it, despite me reinstalling the printhead several times. He said would need to order a replacement. You would think that they would let me return the whole printer since it should have been brand new right out of the box. That was another problem. When I went to register the new printer, it said the initial warranty was due to expire in less than 1 year. I bought it on May 25, 2024 and it said it was expiring on February 20, 2024. I had to wait 3 business days minimum for the printhead to arrive, so in the meantime, I tried to print on my old 9015e but had to subscribe to Instant Ink for it as I erroneously registered the 9125e as a replacement for the 9015e. Once I got the replacement printhead, I had to set up the printer from scratch and make sure that the initial 1 year warranty was not expiring until 1 year from when the printhead was installed. I had to once again chat with a tech to get the warranty set up properly. I have been using the printer now for about 3 weeks, so I will say that it's ok. It's noisy compared to past HP printers I've had and I've had several. I learned that if you switch to photo paper from regular plain paper, you have to go into advanced settings to reset the printing, otherwise, it will think you are still using photo paper and make lots of noise and take a really long time to print an email or a page of something that is not a photo.

I had a lot of technical trouble setting up the Wi-Fi capabilities on my previous printer, but the HP Office Jet Pro connects instantly when you run the HP Smart software on a device connected to your home or work internet. The printing performance has been excellent so far. No signs of smudging or image tearing. I mainly use the printer to print documents for work. My favorite feature is how it can print front and back without you having to manually remove and reload the paper. This saves me a lot of time, and I don't have to worry about reloading the paper the wrong way and having to redo my print. The printer is a little bigger than what I'm used to, but it can still comfortably fit on my desk. I also encountered a firmware update failure on its first attempt to update out of the box. It didn't seem to affect printing in any way, but was a little concerning to see on day one. I am also very interested to see how the 12 month free ink subscription goes. It seems like a hassle free way of getting ink cartridge replacements before they run completely empty.Overall, I am super satisfied with this product. Thanks to stellar product testing panel for supplying me with the HP Office Jet Pro printer free of cost.

After trying the HP OfficeJet Pro 8139e everyone in our family agrees, this printer is top notch! Its sleek design fits right in with our home office decor, functional and stylish. Setting up the printer was a breeze! We went from unboxing to printing in just under 15 minutes. Being able to easily and seamlessly print via the wireless capability is incredibly helpful. In no time at all we were printing from various laptops, desktop and phones throughout the house. Printing wireless isn't new to us but with the OfficeJet Pro 8139e it was incredibly easy to set up and use right away. The accompanying HP Smart App is great...intuitive, organized and chock full of useful tools for everyone in our house. My younger kids love the Printables options, fun and educational! The ability to organize files, print, scan, fax, and control the printer settings straight from the app is super convenient. We're new to Instant Ink and signed up right away. It is never fun to run out of ink at the most inopportune times and not having to run out last minute will help keep this busy mom's house running much more smoothly.Often needing to print documents with large numbers of pages for work I was pleasantly surprised by just how quick this printer functions. And even better, the print quality is superb! High quality at incredibly fast speeds, total win win when it comes to a home printer with high traffic. We are looking forward to using this printer and its wide range of capabilities! Highly recommend the HP OfficeJet Pro 8139e for whatever your printing needs may be, big or large, professional quality or for the home, you will not be disappointed!

Standard printer

I was given this printer to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I stopped having a home printer a decade ago due to the hassle of ink running dry, connectivity issues, and general troubleshooting time wasted. I was hopeful things would be different with this printer but overall I am just satisfied with it.The setup should have been quite simple but even within the provided QR Code, there wasn’t really any troubleshooting assistance. I work in IT so I’m not a stranger to technical issues but even I found the process tedious and frustrating once the setup strayed from the standard instructions. It took me roughly an hour to get the printer functioning and then another half hour to get familiar with the HP Smart app.I disliked the requirement to have a ... MoreI was given this printer to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It took me roughly an hour to get the printer functioning and then another half hour to get familiar with the HP Smart app.I disliked the requirement to have a card on file during the one year free trial of Instant Ink. I also found the claim of “one year” to be a bit misleading, as there does remain a strict limit within the year timeframe. I do not expect to continue with the Instant Ink after the free trial ends, as the measurement of printed page counts doesn’t feel like a fair judgement. I would rather see the subscription move to an actual measurement of ink used, as some of the preschool worksheets I printed hardly contained any ink at all. I also noticed some glitches with the app, particularly when only a subset of pages was selected to print or when jobs were attempting to queue up.Once I had everything figured out, I was quite pleased with the quality of the printer. I’ve mostly been printing in black and white but when I’ve used color it has also looked good. The printer is very fast and generally quiet while printing is in progress. I do notice a faint high-pitched buzz when the printer is first turned on but it goes away after a minute or two. I have not tried any of the copy or fax features on the printer, nor do I expect to get much use out of them.

The answer to printing convenience and mobility

The HP OfficeJet Pro 8139e Wireless All-in-One Printer is truly a remarkable multifunction device. I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The unit basically installed the HP Smart software itself right out of the box without issue. I easily installed the 4 ink cartridges provided and was ready to print. Not only does it provide top quality printing, scanning, and copying for my needs, it also does it all wirelessly from an easy to navigate App on your phone miles away! This printer easily produces b/w and color prints up to 20 pages per minute without delay. The document feed feature and glass top scanner produced crystal clear images up to 1200x1200 dpi on legal size paper which really impressed me. I think the best part for me is the Instant Ink Program feature. Upon activation, HP will send you free ink up to 1 year! When more ink is needed, the printer will actually order more cartridges for you automatically. It saves time not having to remember and you’ll never run out of ink.If I had to give some negatives, the auto feed can only handle about 30 sheets at a time. Also, the paper tray only holds around 220 legal sheets. However, I still feel this would be enough for anyone using this device for school, work, or fun. It helps me greatly with printouts for work and graphics.Overall, the performance, print quality, and convenience of this printer are second to none. HP did a great job with this product.

User Friendly All In One Printer

Having recently moved and started a new job, between home and the office I have had the opportunity to experience several different printer options. The HP OfficeJet Pro 8139e was generously provided as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and is a great printer for the home office. As many similar all-in-one printer/copier/scanners, it is a bit bulky and you do need some desk space for it. But it puts its size to use in its many features and functionality.Set up took about 10-15 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes if you're interested in signing up for HP+ (a free service that helps you take full advantage of all the product has to offer) and Instant Ink (a subscription service that will mail you ink refills before you run out based on feedback from the ... MoreHaving recently moved and started a new job, between home and the office I have had the opportunity to experience several different printer options. After that I got right to printing. Document printing was super-fast, even in color. Only when printing double-sided does the speed slow down a bit to allow the ink to dry. If you are looking to print professional quality photos, this is not the printer for you. The colors really pop, but the resolution is better suited for personal use. That being said, if you have teenagers in the house looking to print pictures of friends to decorate a room, this printer is up for the task.Copying and scanning are also a breeze with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8139e, and so much less clumsy than that free scanning app you have on your phone. The ink does seem to get used up fairly quickly, so I plan to take full advantage of the free year of Instant Ink. As laser printers are becoming more affordable, perhaps that will be the route to go for my next printer. Until then however, this is a welcome addition to my home office.
