I cannot rave about this brush ENOUGH! I have a Pug, so as any pug ownercan tell you, THEY SHED, and they shed like a big dog would. This brushis incredible for any short haired doggy. When you use it, brush in acircular motion and you can just watch all the loose hairs come up. This is one of those products that I am absolutely grateful to have happened upon in the pet store one afternoon while shopping there for something completely different. My dog is older and although still full of charm and life, he is set in his ways and is quite picky when it comes to, well, just about everything. I’m not sure why or how that is so, but I’m just happy I gave it a shot because you never know.

We love our KONG toys. My 7 year old chiweenie loves his! To be quite honest, I don’t think he’s ‘senior’ enough to need the senior one, but I got it just in case. It’s soft, but not too soft. It’s more firm than the puppy one though. This is the small, and it’s the perfect size for my little guy (11 lbs.). I do have to wedge it in between the couch, but that’s because he’s lazy and won’t give it the time of day if he has to hold it. It usually takes him about 10-15 minutes to finish it, and that’s with me putting it into the freezer with peanut or almond butter in it! Always remember to create an airway between both ends!!

I know dogs that have kongs but haven’t gotten around to buying one for my dog until 10 years old! I was glad there was an option for senior dogs. I don’t regret the purchase. It’s a great way for my dog to entertain himself. And I literally put any healthy treat/ vitamin in it as a treat otherwise he’ll just gulf down the treat on his own and beg for more. I am always surprised at how well he is able to completely clean out the contents inside every time! Saved money by buying online at with a coupon #furryfriends

Amazing Product

My 10yr old Cavalier loves his new Kong toy. Gets excited when he sees me putting the treats in it. Keeps him entertained for a good 20mins. So happy I brought the Kong.

Amazing way to turn a regular meal into enrichment

I gave this toy to my very food-motivated senior border collie. He loves it - it's very effective at entertaining him and slowing him down eating, can be used with his regular canned food, and it's big enough and the right combination of tough enough to not be destroyed but soft enough that he doesn't hurt himself on it. This is a simple but great product for any dog that gulps their food.

Definitely better than I first thought.

OK, I have been humbled. I see you did post my review I wrote last week, where I gave this item only two stars. Well, my dog kept bringing it to me, so I did put in some snacks. They did have to be bigger, so they wouldn't fall out of the big hole all at once. My dog had so much fun with the holder and we use this every morning at 10:30, which is her "treat" time. I have changed this to 4 stars, please delete my last review, if possible. My dog taught me a good lesson...don't make quick decisions, you may have to eat crow.

Great for reluctant chewers

Most chew toys are too challenging for my dog as he has a very low chew drive. Although he is only 5 he would lick a standard kong for a while and lose interest. This is great for reluctant chewers and those dogs with gentle mouths:) my dog enjoys the softer rubber texture and will play with this despite not liking the red kongs

Great for small breeds

If you have a small breed, this is the Kong to get. It is a little softer than the regular Kong, so it makes it easier for a small breed to get to the yummies. We have a 12 lb. chihuahua mix and she would give up with the red Kong but this one keeps her occupied - frozen apple with some peanut butter or frozen green beans with a little peanut butter - a "pupsicle" that keeps her occupied doing a natural dog behavior.

There are better choices.

The reason I am giving this a "2" is because I bought it with the understanding that you could put treats in it for the dog to try and get them out by throwing the ball around. The problem is, there is a small hole, which is perfect, but then there is a huge hole on the other end. The package suggests putting peanut butter in the big hole. Hahahaha!! It is not like I want peanut butter all over the house. I would have to say, regarding the sturdy enough material it is made out of, it has probably an 70% chance of lasting until I find something to plug the big hole with. Sorry Kong, but my 50 lb. Black Mouth Cur, was definitely expecting more and so was I. You could get this right, if you just had one hole for the "small treats" to go in and out of.
