When she gets really frustrated she'll bring to me to give it a good shake to loosen things up if it's packed too tight. So don't just throw your dog the Kong and then wonder why they're not interested. Start easy with loosely packed food and then get harder. You actually have to put a little effort into training your dog how to use the Kong to get the best results. I bought 3 of these (large) for my 10 week old Staffweiler puppy who loves to chew and starts bouncing off the walls at 5:30am every morning. Less than 1 day and the 3 Classic Kongs I ordered have already been a lifesaver. She now takes half an hour to eat a meal instead of 30 seconds and she gets so into the meal that she chases the Kong all over the house, so she's running laps while eating her food. She's usually ready for a nap soon after a meal. If she's not, stuff some peanut butter in the Kong to get her going again and then she'll be tired out for sure. Love it!When looking at sizing options, get at least 1 size larger than you think you need. My pup is a big girl, but at 10 weeks she's still around 20lbs. She loves the large, but gets frustrated with the puppy Kong. I don't recommend much smaller than medium for small dogs. It would be too hard to get the food out. As it is, my pup will probably need XL or XXL by the time she is grown.

As an owner of a female toy poodle, I've had the pleasure of giving her the Kong Extreme Dog Pet Toy Dental Chew, and I have to say, I'm really impressed with this product. Here's my review: First of all, I appreciate that this toy is made with extreme durability in mind. My toy poodle can be a bit of a chewer, and she loves to gnaw on things, but the Kong Extreme Dog Pet Toy Dental Chew has held up really well. It's made with a tough, durable rubber material that's designed to withstand even the most aggressive chewers. When it comes to dental health, this toy is great for keeping my dog's teeth clean and healthy. The unique shape of the toy allows for it to be filled with treats or peanut butter, which encourages my dog to chew on it for longer periods of time. ... MoreAs an owner of a female toy poodle, I've had the pleasure of giving her the Kong Extreme Dog Pet Toy Dental Chew, and I have to say, I'm really impressed with this product. When it comes to dental health, this toy is great for keeping my dog's teeth clean and healthy. The unique shape of the toy allows for it to be filled with treats or peanut butter, which encourages my dog to chew on it for longer periods of time. This prolonged chewing helps to scrape away plaque and tartar from her teeth, which can help to prevent dental issues down the road. Another thing I appreciate about this toy is that it provides mental stimulation for my dog. It's important to keep your dog's mind engaged and stimulated, and the Kong Extreme Dog Pet Toy Dental Chew is a great way to do that. My dog loves to work at getting the treats out of the toy, which keeps her occupied and entertained for a while. Finally, I appreciate that this toy is easy to clean. It's dishwasher safe, which makes it easy to sanitize and keep clean. This is important since my dog is constantly putting things in her mouth, and I want to make sure that her toys are as clean as possible. Overall, I highly recommend the Kong Extreme Dog Pet Toy Dental Chew. It's a durable, effective toy that's great for promoting dental health, mental stimulation, and overall enjoyment for your furry friend. If you're looking for a high-quality chew toy that will last a long time and provide benefits beyond just chewing, I would say this is a must have for any pet parent!

so thankful for stuffable Kongs. My dog recently was diagnosed with pancreatitis and it is imperative that she does not have anything other than her low fat perscription food and fat free treats like carrots. I bought the size medium Kong because for a little dog (13 pounds) she is a powerful chewer and I'm glad I did. She is obsessed with it and the best part is that I just mash up a serving of her canned perscription food, stuff it in the Kong, and stick it in a bowl in my freezer. she gets so excited for her special kong treat. she chews it and enjoys it for well over an hour. I have bought three Kong toys over the years. They last FOREVER! All of my dog loved them! Sometimes they just like to roll it around on the floor and play with it.. even without any treats inside! I have put different types of treats inside…milkbones, smaller chewy treats ( ex.mini bacon strips ), and of course peanut butter!! The Kong entertains for longer when you freeze it with peanut butter or the Kong filling. It’s great to give your pets before going to work or leaving the house for awhile….Keeps them busy!!! Just be sure to only use REGULAR PEANUT BUTTER!!!! NOT SUGAR FREE, because the sweetener is EXTREMELY TOXIC to dogs!!! I wash it by hand after using with any type of treat. 5 stars - It is a KONG and it does exactly what you would think. Greatest dog toy of all time!!! The puppy Kong and classic Kong are the greatest dog toys of all time. If you don't have one, I don't know how you survive the puppy days! I have 8 of the various Kong toys in my freezer and give one to my puppy every time I leave the house or need a moment's peace. You can use them as snacks or feed all of their meals in them. There are YouTube videos and online instructions with endless possibilities for filling these. If you are in a hurry, plug the small end with peanut butter, fill it with kibble, add a little water or broth, then plug the big end with peanut butter and freeze it! Oatmeal, mashed sweet potatoes, lean beef, carrots, bananas, strawberries, anything that is safe for dogs to eat will work. If you don't have time to freeze it, just put a few treats in and let the puppy work on that. It's one of the only toys I will leave with my puppy when I can't supervise her. She even likes to play with it empty. Just a great toy. Every puppy should have at least one!

I have two dogs, one staffie mix and one lab/shepard mix. Both super crazy chewers, determined to destroy anything and everything. My older dog, the lab/shepard, has the most curious mind. If it was up to him he’d play with puzzle toys all day long, but unfortunately he destroys most of them. Not the Kong though! We’re going in 2 years strong and he hasn’t chewed it up. It’s also his favorite toy by far. We love trying out new ways to stuff it - peanut butter, bananas, yogurt, fruit, treats, and freezing it too! It’s the only toy that keeps him busy for longer than 15 minutes, and it’s a lifesaver when you have a toddler running around at home too. Buyer be aware, my toddler ended up needing his own because he loves it so much too!!

I’ve had nothing but great success thus far with the Kong toys. I watched a video on YouTube on how to use your dogs food. First soak in water until moist, stuff with kibble , and then freeze. You can add a little peanut butter or wet food to get them started. It occupies my pup for a long time. I actually help him towards the middle or end. The youtuber said this will solve 80 % of puppy issues. It teaches them to spend time alone and also stimulates their brain.. I dont give it to my rottie daily, but several times a week. It’s fantastic when I have something I need to do or if I’m in a hurry. Highly recommended to go a size up from what you think you might need if you do this so they can get to it. The smaller the Kong the smaller the opening.

Amazing! Amazing at entertainment for my dog. Love how we can stick big treats in there and keep him busy whenever we have to leave the house. I think it's a must for training your dog. Be sure to replace it whenever there is damage. As I know a friend's dog had a piece of Kong stuck in his intestine and had to get surgery to remove it. So best to keep the toy until you notice any wear or tear. I like how it has multiple sizes and has really good durability.. this is a really good investment for your dog! We had two on rotation for when our puppy was teething and needed a lot of attention. Frozen treats allowed for the pup to work on the kong. We use it at home mainly but we do bring it over to our friends house when our dog is staying the night because we are out of town. It's just another tool they can use if they find he needs to calm down and focus instead of rambunctious and playing.

A massive fan of Kong Extreme products. Perfect for the extreme chewers. Have a number of other extreme Kong products, and whilst there is some chew damage, that is after hours and hours of chewing fun. This tradition Kong Extreme black large is no different. Only had a week, so only early days, but it's quickly become our boys favourite. So far not a scratch on it. Would definitely recommend this range of products for any tough chewers. Our boy loves them and it's one of the very few so called "tough chew toys" that has actually withstood an actual tough chew. Awesome product.
