After getting out of the shower, the 3rd step was the scalp and hair treatment which was the issue. I sprayed my scalp down generously, running my hair along my arm as I moved it across. Within 5 minutes, I had huge red welts from my thumb to the crook of my elbow. I also got dark red splotches across my forehead. Upon looking up information on the product, it said this was completely normal, and that it should go down within 1 hour. With that said, it took over 2 hours for the redness to go away, and even though it did, there was still a splotchy-ness to my arm (even now) that still hasn’t resided completely. I applaud the company for explaining that this happens as the product works as a vasodilator, but to me, it isn’t worth the anxiety, fear, and unknown of watching those spots grow for 30 minutes and then the splotchy look staying long after it said it would reside. Because of that, I don’t feel comfortable trying the product out any longer. I think the clean the product gives is nice, but the side effects bring a lot of unnecessary stress, in my opinion. I plan to return the product at this time. I definitely don’t regret giving it a shot, but I feel like there has to be a better option than the fear I felt watching the red welts grow on my arms and across my forehead. For this reason, this product was not a winner.

A good way to pay more attention to scalp health!

The 3 step system is a nice way to try out the products as they're meant to be used, depending on your hair type and needs.The Scalp Cleanser is a nice shampoo that feels fresh and leaves my scalp very clean. I don't use many products containing sulfates, but I'm not extremely against them either, and this product contains them. The peppermint oil definitely added to the fresh feeling. Whether it's the alcohols or the peppermint oil in the product, or just that it sits on my skin more than other conditioners (I normally do not use conditioner on my scalp), it is a bit too much for me. I do not have sensitive skin, but the cooling effect lingers longer than I like.The Scalp & Hair Treatment leave-in is easy to use and control with the nozzle of the bottle, and the best part is that it didn't show at all when my hair dried. With my hair being fine and on the thinner side, some things can really look flat or weird even if I don't use much. This product however absorbs well and my hair looks good. I was expecting that it would have minoxidil as an ingredient, but it does not.My favourite product is the shampoo, least favourite is the conditioner. Since they're meant to be used as a system, I'm not sure I would buy this again. I liked that using this kit made me more aware of the condition and treatment of my scalp itself, and not just my hair. That along with the products has made me pay more attention and gives more lift to my hair, and has reduced the oiliness I can get at the roots. Do I have more volume or hair growth after a month? I'd say it is negligible.

Not Right For My Hair

First let me say, I have fine naturally white / platinum hair which acts very weird at this stage of life.I do like the smell and the way it really removes any build of product. I did see some new growth around my hairline which was encouraging. However, my hair became dry, frizzy and unmanageable. I started out using every time I washed my hair and then went to every other time. Same results.I did use this years ago before I became white headed and it worked with new hair growth. So I believe it is just the texture of my hair and will work for others.

I have never tried a system for thinning hair, so I can't compare it to anything other than my usual shampoo and the most striking difference is the smell. It's a minty smell, which for me personally, I did not like. I'm sure there is a specific reason for them to use this smell, but I wasn't a fan.I used the system for about a month, and I still have lots more product to use, so you won't have to replace bottles quickly. However, I don't wash my hair everyday and my hair sits around my jawline currently. Did I notice a difference in this past month?
