Thermos Stainless King Vacuum-Insulated Beverage Bottle, 40 Ounce, Midnight Blue

I had this brand before. In fact it is 30 years old. So it was a no brainer to get the same brand. Very happy with it. It keeps my coffee good and hot for several hours, 8 to 5, very satisfied with it and I am confident it will last several years and also keep continuing to keep coffee hot. The only sad thing is I ordered blue and it looks black.

A Solid Thermos though Small

I'm learning to start paying attention to the exact wordage on the order. this is the exact thermos that I wanted only it was about 8 to 10 oz too small in what I needed. other than that the thermos is great. it traps whatever you have in there and only lets the water through so you can make loose leaf tea in there successfully. the cup on the top can hold your first cup and two refills.

Great trusted brand and lives up to its reputation!Keep drinks hot for hrs and hrs, HGV driver never wants cool coffee! Sturdy and withstands the long shift ahead.The screw lid keeps the liquid safe and secure inside with no leaks or spills. The cup is a really good size for anyone that wants to drink from this!Overall great bargain

Haven't used it yet.....

Haven't used it yet but I'm sure it will be fine. Lovely colour. I inherited a very old Thermos that used to belong my parents and it's still going brilliantly. I had another smaller flask (different brand) which finally died, and wasn't half as old, so getting another genuine Thermos was obvious. I like to have them on hand in the house for winter, so if there's bad weather looming (I'm in Tas) and a chance of an outage, then I've got lots of hot water on hand. Quick delivery from Myer, much appreciated by us rural dwellers. Only criticism is the sticky label wrapped around it, would be good if Thermos could rethink this.

Inaccurate description/photos

This flask has a huge rattly handle on the side that is not shown in the photo. It looks really well made and I have other Thermos products in this range so I'm sure that it will be as great as the others in functionality. The handle however, is really annoying and, I can't see what it's for because it already has that nice indent design that gives a good grip, but the handle is super loose and unstable! Will likely try returning for a refund and go for the marginally smaller ThermoCafé range instead which unfortunately isn't available on Ocado.

Keeps Temperature for 24+ hours

I always trust the Thermos brand, but of course I had to put it to the test to see if it really works as described. I took lid and stopper off and filled it with boiling water to prep it for my test. I always “preheat” the bottle to make sure it will keep things hot for a long time. I dumped out the first batch of water and then added a full container full of hot boiling water and let it sit for 30 hours. I only let it sit that long because I forgot to check at the 24-hour mark. It was still boiling hot!! I am impressed with that! It wont cool down as soon as you close it up to travel. I also tested the ability to keep things cold and did the same thing, I added ice water to cool it down. I like how the stopper has slits on the sides, so you do not have to unscrew it all the way to be able to pour things into the cap to use as a cup. I sill love everything about it, but the cap is difficult to remove as it is so slick and has no real grip to it. I personally added a rubber bracelet to make it easier to remove.

Keeps liquid hot but poorly packaged when shipped

The container is not the same color as pictured. The whole container is a reddish color. It mentions the reddish color in the description but I thought that was just the cap and inside the cup as pictured.I was very disappointed with the packaging. The thermos was inside one of those padded envelopes and was wrapped in a small amount of bubble wrap. I was sure it would be damaged, but oddly there weren’t any dents on the outside of the thermos and there wasn’t anything rattling inside. A surprise given how poorly it was packaged. Even thought the thermos wasn’t damaged, I would not want to order from the same shipper again.The thermos does keep stuff hot for very long periods of time, which is why I bought it, so I am very pleased with that.

Metal

Everything in this is stainless steel, except the plastic and rubber lid, and the plastic built in over cap/cup. Holds cold drinks just fine.Thermos does not recommend putting fizzy drinks into it. I make Seltzer at home, and as long as you do not overfill the bottle, you should be fine. Note that I have not tested traveling with the bottle with fizzy drinks in it, I would advise against that, as the bubbles could get out of the liquid and create a lot of pressure in the vessel, which can force the lid out and cause damage to people and property. This is why Thermos says you must not put fizzy drinks in the bottle.Very happy to have a cold drink in a you room for the whole day. Stay hydrated!

Old School - Keep that Drink Hot for Job Breaks

I bought it for my niece who works in a factory. She says she gives it 10 out of 10. She likes that it keeps her 8 cups of coffee hot 'til lunch. It transports well to work. The top cap doubles as a cup for her drink at morning break and lunch. She works in Fargo, ND, so keeping it hot is important in the cold winter. Likes the solid look and construction. Likes that her that her grandpa used to use one like it, hence the old school reference. He is no longer with us and he passed just before she turned three. People look for substance and authenticity. I remember him using one like it as a lumberjack and sitting out in the woods watching him work as a little 5-6 yr old. His had a dent in it, but it still worked. Keep making solid products!
