I consider it the widest variety of choices and colors you can find in a Demi permanent line. I love formulating with Wella as a colorist. It leaves you with beautiful shiny, healthy feeling hair, the color choices are endless, in my opinion no other Demi-gloss or toner makes the hair feel better after. I would recommend using their gentle 6% developer for deposit only glazes or colormelts, rinsing with cold water always, but especially with red heads, and sealing with my personal favorite treatment “post color service” to lock in the tone, and seal the cuticle. Your client will dye over how good her hair smells after using post-service. It doesn’t strips your hair of its nutrients, or compromise the integrity of your clients hair. It only adds, the shine and moisture your hair needs. You can formulate with this 7/43 shade to achieve anything from a subtle luminous strawberry blonde 🍓 to coppery crimson auburn tones. The attached pictures are two different formulas, using this shade.... Show more

Amazing, IF you get colours to fit you’re hair!
I participated in an Influenster Voxbox and was chosen to review these for free, however all opinions are mine. Before this I had very faded blue/ teal hair dye in but blue dyes are pretty much impossible to get out of your hair haha. There was my first issue because there wasn’t enough bleach, PRO TIP: ALWAYS GET EXTRA BLEACH JUST IN CASE!!!!! However that wasn’t really partaining to the colours them selves. Sooo fast forward 3 days of a very expensive bleach and lightening process, I wasn’t sure how to make coral (very very very light and pastel), BLOOD ORANGE ( super vibrant and pigmented), and mint (another very very pastel colour) work in my hair. Sooo fast forward 3 days of a very expensive bleach and lightening process, I wasn’t sure how to make coral (very very very light and pastel), BLOOD ORANGE ( super vibrant and pigmented), and mint (another very very pastel colour) work in my hair. I decided first to go ahead and do a kind of coral to mint ombré effect buttttttttt after starting my bangs I knew for sure my hair was not light enough. Pastels and soft colours require basically white blonde or platinum hair base. Anyways so I ended up mixing (HELLO LIZZIE THIS WAS THE MAIN POINT OF THE VOXBOX TO SEE HOW WELL THEY MIX AND DYE >_>) the blood orange into the coral and eventually some into the mint and proceeded with the ombré idea. Base line, my roots are great it works but the mint (now purple colour) only took on the lightener ends of my hair (which wasn’t much) and the purple is super pretty but not with this mix of hues haha. I have a weird assortment of green blondes, purpleish red and orange in my hair so I’m pretty much a walking bag of skittles lol. I don’t hate it though, I can tell there’s been a big difference in the way my hair feels, it’s a lot smoother and softer which means they got the formula perfect. This colour was wayyyyy out of my comfort zone but I don’t hate it, it’d be so much better if the other colours complimented it though haha.... Show more

Great grey coverage
This product provides the best grey coverage. Taking one star off for two reasons. I do find I have to use twice as much color than the gel color because it’s a 1:1 mix and because it is too thick. I find it hard to cover all of my hair because it tends to clump up rather than evenly distribute over my hair so I have to work harder and longer to get all hair done. I have very thick hair so it might be easier for people with less or thin hair.... Show more

Great grey coverage
This product provides the best grey coverage of any color I’ve tried. The only downside is that it is super thick and is very difficult to distribute through the hair especially if you have thick hair thus the reduction of one star. With every other color I’ve used the grey at my temples would show through after the first wash. This one does not do that. The color I use is 6 NN Toffee and it is a very dark brown color. I’ll be looking to try other colors to get it one shade lighter. The price point is on the high side since I need two tubes. Other online retailers have it for. Few dollars less. Even when Sally has it on sale the other retailers cost less.... Show more

Great product %26 easy to use
Great product that I use 1-2x between each salon visit. I visit the salon roughly every 10 weeks for cut and half or full head highlights. I typically use this (mixed 1:2 with 4% 13 vol emulsion) as a base break about 4-5 weeks after a salon visit and then again 3-4 weeks later. It works great to lighten the color of my natural hair so that the highlights still look natural even as my roots grow out between salon visits. See the photo for example: this was taken the day after I used this product for a base break (5 weeks after a salon visit).... Show more

NN1 Black Licorice
Let me preface this: the 1 star reviews are a cautionary tale of why you do test strands before using the product on your whole head. Any stylist will tell you, the instructions tell you: Do a strand test first! That being said, and with the added note that allergies to hair dye can develop even after years of dying your hair (any allergy to any thing can randomly develop, please use caution), but I've been using the NN1 Black Licorice for many years, now. There's no fade, it has a perfect pitch black deposit, and my hair is shiny and healthy looking and feeling afterwards, every time.(Also, anyone complaining the Wella dyes provided zero lift: they aren't supposed to. Dyes deposit color, they don't lift color. You use bleach to lift color and that's a whole ... I am a natural light golden blonde, for reference here, so if you have my hair color or darker and want to go black, this dye is a great choice. (But do remember: when going black, please thoroughly consider your choice as bleaching back can take several months sessions of bleach, and between bleaching sessions your hair will be multiple shades of red. So if you do choose Black Licorice, realize how difficult it can be for you to transition back. You may even need to cut several inches and let it grow back from there.)... Show more

Remember to buy the Color Touch developer!
I’ve been using Wella Color Touch for a while now, and I’m really happy with the results. As a demi-permanent hair color, it’s perfect for someone like me who isn’t looking for a drastic change or doesn’t want to commit to permanent color. The formula leaves my hair looking super shiny and healthy, and the color itself has this beautiful, multi-dimensional effect that looks really natural. What I love the most is that it fades gradually over time, which means no harsh regrowth lines. It’s gentle on my hair and doesn’t dry it out like some other dyes. I also appreciate the wide range of shades, allowing me to experiment with subtle changes without damaging my hair. The only slight downside is that the color doesn’t last as long as permanent dyes, so I have to touch ... MoreI’ve been using Wella Color Touch for a while now, and I’m really happy with the results. But overall, it’s a great product for someone who wants to maintain a rich, vibrant color without the full commitment of permanent hair dye. Highly recommended for low-maintenance color changes! Superb product
This dye is semi-permanent or 'quasi' depending on what volume emulsion is used with it. For damaged hair the lowest volume emulsion, 1.9%, is best - this will only deposit the colour and not lighten the hair at all. Digital scales help to make sure the ratio of 1 part dye to 2 parts emulsion is achieved correctly. This mixes up to a lovely creamy texture which goes on to the hair really easily and doesn't drip. It has covered my greys well but subtly and given the hair a very natural-looking colour with a few golden tones among the ash. When I washed the product off I was surprised how nice the hair felt, and although I conditioned after using, I credit this product with leaving a nice shiny finish on the hair. The product smells lovely with no ammonia tang and I feel quite safe having it on my scalp and hairline. *I did the allergy test 48 hours prior to using the product and would never use a hair colour without doing this*. Altogether a brilliant product. Comes up a tad darker than one might expect but may lighten after shampooing. A great product, absolutely chuffed to bits with it. Will definitely purchase again.... Wella Effective and Easy Hair Colour
Very effective and easy to use. My hair felt soft and easy to manage. I like that it took some of the redness out of my hair as some colours seem to bring out the redness. Will continue to use this colour as my hair feels and looks so much better. The girl that helped me was excellent and was very helpful with her advice. Very happy thanks!... Show more
