These are my first bike mounts and I couldn't believe how easy these are to install and use. I have the Jaylows for kayaking and the forkchops live up to the quality and ease of use as those did. The QR skewers are easy to use and secure my bikes with no issues. The rear wheel mounts are great as they adjust automatically between my wife's bike and mine since they are different sizes. Yakima makes such great products and it's just amazing how these are crafted and work with such ease.

This is an easy way to mount your bike on the roof if you already have the rails. My only complaint is that the included skewer that locks your bike and the product to the rack won’t work for Mt Bikes. Lock works great for road bikes. They should offer an accessory for all axle types so you can secure your bike. They currently only offer an accessory skewer for fat tire bikes.

This rack is a great rack and does exactly what it needs to do. Gets bikes from a to b.However there are a couple of issues.1) Bikes which use thru axels are not lockable on the bike rack and can easily be stolen.2) this is noticeably more difficult to load bikes onto compared to other full size roof racks as you have to try and hold the handle bars straight whilst trying to insert the thru axle whilst holding the rear wheel on the small pad. This being said, for the occasional road trip back and from the trail I cannot recommend it enough, especially if you need an easily removable system.

I used this rack system with my existing factory aero bars without any issues. The variety of axel types is a nice feature. The downside, in my opinion, is that if there is no bike on the rack and the tension knob isn't tightened all the way down, it is possible to unscrew it even though the core is locked. Other models have a T-bolt which prevents this. The rear wheel mount also does not lock to the rack. Overall, it's a great rack which holds the bike firmly in place.
works very well, only drawback for me is lifting my bike onto the top of my landcruiser isnt the easiest, but it work very well still. easy to install with no tools required. plenty of adjustment, and comes with a heaps of adaptors to fit different fork types.
Doesn’t come with lock cores, and you can only lock one of the two parts of you do get some. I would not feel great using it in crosswinds or on a bumpy road due to the lack of lateral support, and they recommend you don’t drive in those conditions. However it is easy and quick to take on and off the cross bars and despite having to take the wheel off to use it, it’s very simple to use.
Very easy to assemble. Fitted onto Pro rack cross bars perfectly. Excellent value as a stop gap to carry my bike on the roof while coding problems on the towing hitch of my new VW are solved. Also, the service by the A1 staff was excellent. Rang up on a Saturday morning to order and picked up 90 minutes later.
Easy to install and does the job perfectly. Well priced and a very practical solution.
What a great item. Easy to fit and looks great.I have yet to try the bike on top, but this definitely looks sturdy and secure.I would have preferred the locks to be built in, but they will have to be an extra purchase in the future. Thanks to TRBC for the advice, it was invaluable.
I purchased this to replace my old style bike roof rack with a tray for the wheel. Love it. Works equally well to secure bike, but takes up far less storage space! Clever design adapts to a wide range of bar shapes and sizes.
