Brand great, colour average
I have used nice n easy for years, but this was the first time using dark ash blonde. I needed an ash colour to tone down/nuetralise some ginger tones. This worked really well on the roots and lengths & turned my hair a neutral dark blonde/light brown colour. Even though the ends were neutralised they turned a bit of a green tone. It wasnt way too noticeable but i could see it. It was fine as this is a semi permanent colour and it washed out after a few washes. I'm glad I tried this colour but I don't think I'll use ash tones ever again. I think I'll stick to light browns and dark blondes for that Bronde colour. The actual brand is very easy and simple to use, I'll always use nice n easy. 5/5 for brand, but 3/5 for colour.... Show more

Doesn’t seem to work in African Hair
I’m of African descent and have a type 4C hair. I recently purchased the Nice and Easy colour 73 dye and after using it (even leaving it on for longer than 25 mins) there was no change to the colour of my hair. I’m really disappointed by this because I had big plans for my blonde hair. I would just ask that if there’s proof that the dye doesn’t work on African hair that it be put out there for all to know so that we wouldn’t get disappointed. This is the second time this is happening with your product. The first time I thought it was because I didn’t leave it on for longer, but now that I’ve tried that and nothing happened I’m guessing the product is defective especially when it comes to African hair.... For me personally, it's a really natural look.
I've used Nice'n'Easy for as long as I can remember. For many years I used the permanent colour, but I find semi-permanent actually lasts longer because; so my hairdresser told me, it blends out grey hairs rather than trying to cover them up, and makes it look more natural. It's quick and easy to use and it certainly does a good job. I use Light Brown, and although the picture on the box makes it look quite dark, it doesn't; luckily, turn out like that.... Show more

good, but too good.
i bought this in August 2022 and i am naturally medium/dark brown. I fancied a change since i hadn't done much with my hair for a while, and black was on my mind a lot. I didn't want to rush straight into dying it permanently, incase i got bored of it fast like i do a lot of hair colours, so i found this semi permanent one for cheap. My hair, like i said, is naturally medium to dark brown and i had blonde high-lights at the time, so this took very well and did the job perfectly. I used this for the second time when my roots grew back in the December of 2022, and that was the last time i used this hair dye. It's now April 2023, and i decided i wanted to dye my hair a permanent ginger. The only problem is, during all those months of washing my hair, the 'semi ... The only problem is, during all those months of washing my hair, the 'semi permanent' dye didn't come out, and now the ginger hair dye only took to my roots. This is an amazing dye, it just doesn't come out, and it didn't fade once. Therefore i'd only buy if you want this change permanently, not for a fun little semi permanent.... Show more

I recommend 91 and 73 for grey hair.
The picture on the box is misleading, it does not end up this dark. I have lots of salt and pepper grey with some silver and white bits. After using this demi-permanent I have a soft dark blonde with lighter/darker streaks of very light brown and blonde. It's lovely! Lighter than the 73 I used last year. The 73 lasted for ages, just fading gradually over about six weeks of daily washing. If you fancy a change from grey it's the perfect temporary solution.... Show more

Just what I wanted
Bought this as an interim dye to use in between permanent colour. I normally use products from a hairdressing supplier but just thought I’d try this on a whim.I have naturally dark brown hair with some greys that require coverage although I’d say more of a sprinkling throughout rather than noticeable grey. This colour really has done exactly as I wanted. Because of the bleach in the permanent colour I normally use my hair lightens quite a bit in between colouring. This Nice and Easy semi permanent colour has added richness and depth back into my hair and has also covered the greys that were starting to show.On my hair it is a dark brown with some subtle golden tones but that is probably due to how light my hair was before. My go-to semi permanent colour
Have used this make of hair dye many many times and it’s my go-to when I fancy a change. Having had my hair professionally permanently coloured for many years, I decided I wanted to go back to my normal brown hair. My hairdresser recommended ash brown to cover the copper red shade I’d been having done professionally. I used the semi permanent just to see how I felt being brown again. The colour took well and looks even and natural. Always check with a professional if you already have colour treated hair. I’ve washed my hair five times since using the colour and it is still looking great. Very little fade.... Show more

Not as described
I was fed up with my hair going red from the organic colour I'd been using. I used to use Nice n Easy when it was straight from the bottle application, but that was discontinued. Why? So I thought I'd try this as the ingredients on your website don't list hydrogen peroxide. My hair is too fragile for that. So it was with horror when reading the special precautions to see that it says don't use on hair that has been coloured with henna, AND 'this product contains hydrogen peroxide'. I'm throwing the two bottles I bought straight down the drain. Just make sure that product description is accurate!!! Terrible waste of money, and hopes...... Show more

Too warm
I’ve been getting my hair dyed in salons for years but as it’s got more expensive I thought I would try this. I used to dye my hair myself about 10 years ago. Applied this to dry shoulder length hair and followed instructions as directed. The result is quite a ‘block’ of colour I was hoping my highlights would have shone through. The colour is very orange toned and much lighter than I expected. It’s also patchy in places but this could be user error. I’m hoping it washes out to a less orange toned colour.... Show more

Works well on beard too
I dye my beard, so when you apply the product right under your nose, ammonia is a challenge. But this one smells alright! The principle is the usual one: you mix the dye with the cream and apply, but this time, the dye is liquid, and as the science teacher would say: when you mix them, it precipitates. After you apply the mixture, it quickly turns dark and then black, like charcoal black, but DO wait for the full 15 minutes, else it won't take. And cherry on the cake: it did not dye my skin. The result was good, natural dark blonde. If you don't want to use it all at once, like other products, you can mix a bit in a tiny pot and keep the rest, still separate, for later. And it's cheaper than beard products....
