It didn't help remove his hair at all. And this boy sheds A LOT! for a little chihuahua. I was really surprised that each stroke returned literally 3 hairs in the brush head. It was disappointing, especially considering the steep cost. His undercoat is not the thickest. Perhaps it works better with a thicker undercoat? But I figured with how much his top coat sheds, it should still help. I was mistaken.

I brought my dog to my neighbors house recently and she recommended this and even let me try hers out on my girl. Both of my dogs have short hair and very sick and super soft. So i was recommended this brush to get that undercoat hair, since they seem to shed, just not like a medium to long hair dog. It almost doesn't work at all on my one dog, honestly I'd actually sat it doesn't work at all on him, and the other dog, it works a bit to get some of the hair but not like I expected. So I thought why not try it on my cat. It works great on her! Gets tons of hair and her undercoat. The little button on the handle pages up to push all the hair out the comb part so super clean and easy. The hair strips look like weird fuzzy caterpillars or something. Definitely recommended for longer hair or two laser type dog fur rather than dog like frenchies.

I’ve got a German shepherd (aka German Shedder) and I love this! I bought it because a friend recommended it to me and compared to the old brush we used, it gets way more hair. It’s also good for brushing out matted hair (our dog has allergies and licks himself a fair bit) without being painful or pulling hair out. I love that it has the guard so I don’t need to worry about hurting myself on it when we aren’t using it. You still have to do it consistently, as with any grooming, but it’s always satisfying to see the big pile of hair after I’m done brushing him out.

I purchased this on Amazon and honestly, I did not like it. After several brushings with it, more and more hair came out. At first, I just thought she had a severe undercoat, but I realized it was actually cutting her hair! In two spots she had a raw area (and no, I did not put pressure or over comb her). The first swipe was typical of the undercoat and the second was a little more shedding. The 3rd swipe is when I realized it was actually cutting her hair and I immediately put the shedder up. I do not recommend this product for anyone with furbabies with short hair!

This is a great product, if you're wanting to cut you're pups hair. It has little razors that trims your dog's fur it doesn't actually help with the undercoat. If your looking for assistance with pulling out undercoat then look for a rake brush. If you're wanting to trim the tip coat this is great. Just be careful to not use it frequently as you could damage your dog's skin and cause them to get a sun burn if you over trim them.

I am so glad I discovered this tool. My Cattle Dog doesn't shed heavily all year round, but when she goes through one of her bi-annual sheds, her fur comes off in droves, and there is fur everywhere - on the carpet, on the floor on the furniture, on my clothes, in the food, in the air. I used a regular shedding comb for a while, but it never picked up the bulk of her flying fur. A friend suggested I get a the furminator, THis thing really works! I now use it every morning as part of our routine. As she approaches a shed cycle the fur captured by the furminator starts to build.
